When You Are Needed Part 2 Chapter 1 (Chapter 19)

Yo! Welcome to the first chapter of WYAN's second part! This one's going to be a bit lengthier than the first. You'll probably be able to understand how this arc's going to play out by reading this chapter, so I hope you like what you read! Let me know in a comment if you don't mind, I very much appreciate them!

Comments

Yep! Thanks for commenting and thoery-crafting by the way! Super cool to read where people think the story can/will go!

Deferonz

That's true. I guess even if he knows he could, without, for a lack of a better term, a 'canon event', he won't feel like it's necessary to cross the rubicon.

Jo Schmeaux

It would also mean that Blake's placement was more... intentional, which I suspect the perfect placement of the crew to be a running theme. Blake's prevention of Ironwoods promotion would shift from a terrible butterfly effect to a cause for the removal of institutional corruption in Atlas.

Jo Schmeaux

Then yeah, definite coup.

Deferonz

Ironwood is, at this point, a goody-two shoes who believes in the power of the system. I don't think he'd be the type to go full coup until what happens at Beacon. Now, if this was post-Beacon Ironwood?

Deferonz

Based off of last chapter I was honestly expecting Ironwood to plan a coup. The circumstances are perfect for it. Public dissent for authority figures (mantle), a distant and powerful military comander (admiralty), a foreign power invested in the transition of power (menangerie). In combination with Ironwoods disillusionment of the council, I thought he'd absolutely plan one to oust corruption.

Jo Schmeaux

no worries! This was a great chapter. Probably my favorite so far.

Claude

Glad to hear it! Hope you continue enjoying them!

Deferonz

Oh yeah. I think it was lol. My mistake!

Deferonz

I thought it was team RAR. Did it change?

Claude

Oh this is really good. I can't wait until everyone shows up for the Vytal festival and have to deal with everything the others have been up to. It's so hard to wait a week between each of these chapters, I'm always on the edge of my seat reading them.
