Just to expand on this a bit further, if there was a rank disparity function, then Joe would not have resisted all or even the majority of the domination/control attacks despite his strong resistance, especially with something more than 4x his level attacking, not to mention all the thralls, etc. who were higher level and spamming attacks left and right.

2026-01-16 22:20:29 +0000 UTCI'm not sure I understand what effects their are from level disparity, i can't honestly say it was obvious in the story. I mean a higher level has more stats, more skills/achievements/etc. But it still seems to be that creatures resistances and their strength and I suppose any skills or achievements to overcome those resistances that determine ability to punch up in your system. Without knowing what that actually means, it feels like it is a choice that yields no result, so I went Diamond Resolve. But if you plan for their to be an obvious benefit, then GiantKiller is almost always the correct choice.
