Bah, online shopping, COVID stuff, and money.
Added 2020-04-26 08:47:32 +0000 UTCI was looking around for computer parts to try to find deals and maybe start buying some for the final round of upgrades for this computer, but nnnnnooooooOOOoooo, we're having a global pandemic right now, so a lot of parts are either out of stock, delayed for months, or cost twice as much.
Heh.
Anyway, speaking of the virus, I only know one person IRL who had it so far, and the hydroxychloroquine treatment saved her, despite the fact she's obese and diabetic. There was also some minor scares with a family friend who lives in a nursing home, but that bullet was dodged fine.
Thankfully, all of my relatives who are healthy adults are considered essential, so they're not losing their jobs, and all my unhealthy/old relatives are either hunkered down in their houses safely, or in a rural nursing home with no confirmed cases, so I don't have to worry about family too much.
Also, as you've probably heard, the US is handing money out to everyone, but there's a few niches that get you disqualified for the money, and thanks to some personal IRL stuff out of my control, I'm not getting a penny, despite making literally like $400 a year.
I really hope that if they do another round of checks, they lessen some of the rules. I can't go anywhere with my motorcycle, so it's just sitting there and I totally expect it's going to get tire troubles or something by the time I have places I can ride it again, and I definitely can't afford new tires right now.
