TryPod: Episode 4: Detective Pikachu

The boys are back for a post thanksgiving chat. Eugene dives deeper into Detective Pikachu, and Zach goes to jail.

Let us know your thoughts! We are testing new formats, themes, and segments before we eventually release to the WORLD, and we want your help!

We're starting The TryPod as a way to share stories from our increasingly bizarre lives, let you in on behind-the-scenes fun, and ultimately find more ways to connect with you and let you into our world.

Comments

Eugene: I gave him money to fix his leg, then he disappeared. I don't know where he went. Keith: Yeah we don't know where he went, but what we would want to know... l Zack: you need a passport. You just need one. Keith: but did I need one? Because I didn't have one and here I am sitting equal to you.. REAAAADDDD KEITH LOL

Whitney Mitchell

Wait, where's episode 3??

Rustle really

Thank you for keeping me company as I made some cream buns :D Also, yes! More hyped for Detective Pikachu than Endgame :)

Stefy

No NYU is not the college... that just generalized New York City....

Linda

Right? WEIRD.

Sandra Seaman

Ooooor.... GAY RODEO. https://www.igra.com/CalendarRodeo.htm

Sandra Seaman

I’d also love to see Ned’s glorious butt riding the mechanical bull.....

Abby

Casa Bonita was actually cool 20yrs ago. PLEASE come to Cheyenne, Wyoming the last week in July. Frontier days is the stupidest loudest drunken cowboy fest. Worlds largest outdoor rodeo. I hate it but you guys would make it fun. Concerts every night. Lots of good food.

Abby

Agreed!

Laura Bloom

We're very serious about the outdoors. This is the only state where people will get up earlier on a weekend to go hike a 14'er than they would to go to work. :)

Laura Bloom

Why does Eugene just discuss my high school life? I really love being able to just hear you guys chat about your life. It's really funny and enjoyable and different from most other podcasts out there.

Lauren Mercer

For god's sake, come to Brazil!

Tatiele Ilha da Silva

Keith, you know there's this thing called the subway in NYC right? $60 on a uber is a crime

Liza Mesagno

travel to New Zealand! there are ao many things to try here! Thanks for these trypods! they are funny to listen to at work!

KayTea

oh man i should not have listened to this when i was hungry at work, i just got hungrier LOL but i'm loving that you guys are experimenting with the podcasts! you should like you're having a lot of fun

Kaitlyn Nguyen

I’m so glad you took my suggestion about making it more interactive, so thank you. I’m also glad that you guys answered the most burning question on people’s mind. This trypod was leaps and bounds better than the previous one. Good job guys, you guys are making all of your tryceratops super proud! 😊

Steampunk Girly

Whoa intro music! Nice addition.

Hayley Gregory

I love the TryPod SO much. You guys were meant to do this. Also I watched that Ned laughing loop 100000x

Hayley Gregory

I can’t get over the fact that US college students mostly drink illegally because you can’t legally until you‘re 21 YEARS OLD. Wtaf.

Marie Franka Zielinski

I love listening to these while I work, can't wait for more! <3

Karo Siu

I am liking this so far! I think this week you guys really got the rhythm down. "stay beautiful" -a great ending

Bethany M. Ersek

I think you guys have the recipe now. It's close to being ready for the broader fanbase. Oh and also since your eps are about the length of a TV show instead of 2 and 3 hours like so many podcasts you leave the audience wanting more instead of overstaying your welcome.

CRS

First: I absolutely love the podcast, please keep doing it! Second: Not every life action anime adaption is terrible! Watch the Rurouni Kenshin trilogy!

Lea

This was my fave TryPod yet! The intro worked perfectly and Keith is so good at bringing out the best in everyone’s stories (for the diva he’s low-key always the guy trying to make everyone look better). I’m still waiting on the Shi’a LeBeouf story!

Michelle Payne

My favourite one yet. I appreciated the use of the Try Guys theme and felt like everyone had something to say. There was definitely less talking over (although there’s nothing wrong with a bit of it, it would be unnatural without it!). Everyone seemed more relaxed than in the last one, too. Keep it on topics that you guys are enthusiastic about, as that shows through.

Zoe Kay

Aw, you guys don't have to save your stories just for the podcast! You can do that at times, but maybe at other times you can talk about your pasts so that you can still keep up with each other.

Riane Sontillano

Listened to this while cooking and eating for the 2nd week in a roll! Just the right length. This week’s episode is the best

Dyson v Roku

I love this podcast so much! Everything was interesting to listen to. :)

Brianna Keogan

I like having the Try Guys intro after a cold open. Really ties it in with the rest of your media. I get how hard it is to keep enough new information about your lives from each other so that you can still get reactions from sharing stories.

Melissa Greene

This was definitely the best intro yet! Super funny, felt great with the theme song. The different segments throughout helped keep things on track, although I still love when you guys go off on tangents. Also Casa Bonita is a deep shame for me as a Denverite, but I'm glad Eugene had fun. Really, though, he's wrong - no one should go there, it's a spectacle at best. Gonna sound like a stereotypical Coloradoan, but you're better off smoking some legal marijuana and going into the mountains! The continuation of stories week-to-week (like Zach's reunion story) is a really cool way to feel connected to you guys. Never let Ned do an end theme again, lmao. Still loving this podcast, can't wait to hear more!

Steph Allen

2019 is my breakout year and I want to thank you guys for your innovation and for providing the inspiration to me.

Holli B

Yas! Will listen when I can

Pamela Warren

I kinda love that this is for patrons only...I know that's selfish but it makes me feel special like you're talking to me instead of a mass market.

Swayze

As far as I know, it’s against the law to consider expunged criminal records in private employment decisions.

Eileen

Being arrested does not convey guilt, you are presumed innocent

Eileen

Keith has a one of a kind laugh!

Eileen

Love these podcasts! And as a Colorado native and resident, can 100% attest to Eugene’s experience at Casa Bonita.

Dalton Valette

Eugene knows that detective pikachu is a game right?

Julia Zhu

Yes that intro is perfect with the try them song!
