Omg I just had an epiphany that the inn keeper was Joyce's friend from the beginning of Buffy Season 3, and one of the BnB guests they are talking to at breakfast was the social worker in Buffy Season 6! Editing to add: was hit by another epiphany, that the husband with the space pen was the police chief in Buffy from Season 2!!

That scene of Lorelai looking at the Wall of Harvard graduates and seeing the person who she "could" have been in another life is always so interesting to me: she didn't want to go down the path her parents wanted for her, but she also had Rory so young that she didn't really get to even think about what that would have been like -- and now *she* is the parent who wants for her kid to go to an Ivy League school and have every opportunity available, much like Richard and Emily wanted for her. Also the overbearing inn keeper always makes me laugh.
