YES! im starting to get this much more now, not to expect the typical chaos that a family drama brings, its so much better!

2025-05-30 17:50:53 +0000 UTCYou remarked about this at the end, but at the beginning when you were predicting a wedding disaster I thought to myself "This is really not that kind of show" -- and I feel like that is what makes GG so unique! There are more specific examples in future episodes that come to mind that I feel so strongly contrast Gilmore Girls against other "teen drama" or "family drama" type shows, but as you can tell already the show leans toward grounded plot lines and doesn't tend to default to "A beautiful wedding turns into a tragic disaster" punchlines. The show is definitely a well-loved Comfort Show for a reason!

2025-05-13 21:30:08 +0000 UTCI don't golf, but if I did, I would definitely want to golf the Darcie Way. I also totally get what you mean about steam rooms- very claustrophobic. I really enjoyed this episode and the way it delved into the complicated relationships between mothers (and fathers) and daughters. It was very nuanced and well done. "We Are Family", indeed.
