MARSHMALLOWS...... i can't.... even believe i am saying this, but VM comes to an end this month. we will cry about that later, cause i just can't right now. <3
we also have TWO season finales - charmed and AoS! i am so excited, this is going to be such a fun month!!
we will also be figuring out the wednesday replacement this month, so keep your eye out for some posts about that!!

2025-02-02 04:19:14 +0000 UTCFor the record, since I was one of the more vocal commenters on the other thread, I would enjoy Darcie reacting to GG. (I recently did a rewatch of it myself). My suggestion of a second poll wasn't because I was unhappy with the winning choice and wanted a do-over. In fact, I'd prefer GG to Once Upon a Time, and several of the other ones that would have been in a runoff poll. It was really to test a theory that GG got as many votes as it did because it's by far the most mainstream and watched show on the list, so regardless of top choice, most people were likely to have it as a secondary choice. Add that to the fact that none of the hype comments were about GG, so it felt like it winning was coming out of nowhere. Mathematically speaking it's not at all unfathomable that it could be a clear frontrunner in a multi-choice poll while not coming close to winning a single choice, or even ranked choice, poll. Hence the runoff suggestion to genuinely see whether it was winning organically or due to simple numbers as a secondary choice. (I also understand that this comment wasn't solely referencing my comments, as there were several overt negative comments about GG in the thread too, but since it mentioned the poll thing I just wanted to hopefully clarify where that suggestion was coming from.) Anyway, whatever decision you make, Darcie, I'll be excited to watch the next show with you. <3

Me personally, I'm not happy Person of Interest is probably never going to make it the channel ever. I think GG's victory is pretty decisive regardless of the number of comments about the show itself. I definitely have a sentimental attachment to the show. Beyond that though it's simply great TV. Amy Sherman-Palladino's dialogue is so clever & it gives so much energy to an otherwise familiar plot. I've read a few comments about the oversaturation of reactions to GG as well. I only see about 4-5 people in the last year or so & none of them I really connect with at all. I've never actually had a reactor for this series ever..So I'm pretty happy to have the first reactor I ever watch this with to be Darcie. I'd be disappointed if there is another poll. I could understand wanting one if it was close but it really wasn't. GG was the front-runner from the jump. I've been watching along more closely than could be considered reasonable & no show got into shouting distance. Also the poll was open for a month. If someone wanted to change their vote they had ample time to do it. GG 4eva & thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
