I don’t know how much you know about the classic Doctor Who but The Daleks are the major enemy of The Doctor. They were built with no emotions and only made to “exterminate”. I don’t know if you plan on watching any classic who serials in your own time or not but something like “genesis of the Daleks” would be one that would give you backstory on the Daleks and has Sarah Jane (the most famous companion of the original series).
