One of my favorite episodes of the series. I nearly got kicked out of a Christian-ran art camp when I was 10 for making a Buffy puppet with a banner of the lyrics the little girl was singing. ;)
Some fun facts:
- This episode was filmed on the same lot as the famous Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives. You can see the Gentlemen go to Susan's house.
- The "lead" Gentleman (the tall one) is the same actor (Doug Jones) as Billy Butcherson from Hocus Pocus. <3

Omg! Great reaction as always, and I LOVED how quiet you were through so much of it. (Such a “mirror reaction.”)

This is definitely top 5 of the series! And the music by Christophe Beck is amazing!!

It’s fun rewatching and noticing stuff. For instance: One silly thing: Forrest @ 23:00 killed me dead. One neat thing: at least some of the incidental music where the gentlemen are present (e.g. 30:36) has a vocalist.

Probably in my top 3 episodes of the entire show! I just love this concept. It relied so much on physical acting that everybody was very capable of doing. Honestly also probably one of the funniest episodes of the show for me alongside just being such a fun ride.
Glad you enjoyed it so much that you immediately wanted to watch it again, even if you decided not to lest you be subjected to more creepy Gentlemen encounters

Every other reactor when they get to Hush: Finally, and episode where I don't have to worry about talking over the dialogue.
Darcie: K, imma need to whisper for this one.
Also noice how the two "old fogies", Giles and Olivia, knew immediately upon seeing each other that words weren't what was needed and immediately just started sucking face

"What are we going to do today, Professor Walsh?" "The same thing we do every day, Riley--try to take over the world." :D
Great reaction to a great (and impressively thematically *focused*!) episode. I love how you got into the spirit of the episode by getting really quiet for long stretches of the time during which everyone's voices had been stolen.
The actress who plays Tara is named Amber Benson, but I'm not sure where you could know her from. She played a pretty memorable character on Supernatural, but judging by your reaction to the pilot of that show, *that's* probably not it haha

Ah what a shame! I'm sure there are a bunch of Buffy eps deserving of awards!

Nominated but did not win unfortunately. Writing was nominated against the likes of the Sopranos and The West Wing so of course they wouldn't let a show on the WB win in comparison.

Pretty sure this episode won a couple of Emmys. Easily one of the best Buffy eps!! Also Wheetabix is a breakfast cereal, like a brick of crunchy wheat. Kinda gross and flavourless tbh. Blood would honestly probably improve it

OMG in al my hype for this episode, I totally forgot the Wicca group scene was in this. Been there, total cringe, but you have to try and remain polite. Yeah it's always awkward when a group gets advertised as something it's not, so you end up sitting there politely smiling at everyone, going, "Well, this is nice." :D

Yes! I love this episode! The two main Gentleman (floaty dudes) are played by two of my favourite actors that specialise in suit and prosthetic performances, Doug Jones (total legend) and Camden Toy. :D

I'm so excited to watch this one, I've been looking forward to it. Not only because it's one of the best Buffy episodes, but because I have a feeling you're going to be especially creeped out. And, frankly, those are fun reactions to watch! <3

I've read that the reason Joss came up with this episode was that he was worried that he relied on banter and character dialog too much. It was a way to break out of his comfort zone and tell a story in a different way. I didn't think it was considered risky at the time, but the Wikipedia article says otherwise. Despite (or maybe because of) that, it's one of the "big" episodes most reviewers talk about and fans love to watch reactors... um... react to.
