Good question! I would say it was purely for aesthetic reasons. But then I can also say it's the characters preference in her style of fighting or its like a ritualistic purpose. I just like the asymmetry mostly. Thanks!!

I was designing a character and wanted to put on of those shoulder neck guards like you have on the right shoulder of this character and wondered why its placed on the right shoulder when most enemies will attack from right to left. Don't get me wrong this piece is incredible but it seems like ALL the neck guards people draw are on the right shoulder for some reason. Idk if you know the answer or if you just added it for aesthetic reason either one is fine and either way this art is insane!
