Here's a beta release of the melonDSi branch, which, you guess, adds DSi emulation. It's experimental, so read the post linked if you're interested.
(sorry for not posting here more -- you guess, my main medium is the melonDS blog)

melonDS 0.8.2 is out! This is not so revolutionary, but we're fixing a few issues.
Namely, there have been some fixes to the OpenGL renderer. If you were one of those for whom it did not work, we hope that now it will work. There are still issues with it, but we will eventually find them and fix them all.
I also undid a quick hack I did in 0.8.1 to try fixing texture alignment problems, that in the end caused more issues than it fixed. This problem...

Most prominent novelty is the addition of a 'popular request' feature: savestates.
As well as some minor fixes, like fixing crashes when exiting the emulator, or fixing the pixels in the screenshot above. :P

Sorry for the long streak of nothing. Life's been rough.
Regardless, we are back and coding some popular-request features, like savestates.
You can help test that feature for stability:

Thank you!

New version of melonDS, with a revised sound core and fancypants display modes.
For the first time, surround works properly in games that support it.
Display modes should cover what you might desire -- if not, let me know :P

So far, here's what's done:
* simple display
* keyboard/mouse input
* sound
What remains to be done:
* basic scaling
* joystick input
* config dialogs
* polish etc
Notes:
* will require remapping keyboard input due to using different scancodes
* loading multiple games doesn't require reopening the emu!
* the new UI library used does not support Windows XP or Vista

So I figured I'd start acquiring some fancy DS addons to try emulating them.
So far:
* DS browser + RAM expansion cart
* camera cart
* Pokémon keyboard
Thank you folks!

The highlights of this release are several graphical fixes and of course, wifi multiplayer. Have fun!

The 'Customize' screen in Sands of Destruction, shown here, relies on features like polygon Y-sorting and some other quirks.
This isn't perfect, for example, the scrollbar is one pixel off. But it's getting there.

Wifi is getting somewhere!
It's not perfect as you can see, one of the messages got cut off. It seems some pieces of data are getting lost. But hey, it's a start.
It's not yet good enough to play your favourite games in multiplayer. But it'll eventually get there.

Several bugfixes making for better compatibility, 3D features like fog and edge marking, and threading for the 3D renderer which gives a big speed boost.
Wifi support is also being worked on. There's limited support for transmitting and receiving packets, but games don't connect yet.
I'm getting a DSPhat and a capture card so I can capture intact video output from hardware and make graphics accurate.
Thank you guys for everything!
