Judy Animation Release

Uploaded

Just finished editing and rendering the Judy animation. I have two alt versions. One is a short loop from a different angle and the other is a no-bulge version of the animation.

I was also asked about increasing the fps on the VR videos and as it turns out I had been meaning to experiment with an upscaler/interpolator so this was a good opportunity to try that out. I have increased the fps on the videos to 120 fps for VR so hopefully that should look better for those with headsets. I plan to retroactively increase the fps of the older VR videos as well.

BTW - The 120fps VR may be harder to play. If it is try the lower res version. If it's causing a lot of issues I can try and mess with some of the settings to get it to play better. Don't feel shy about reaching out wth issues  ❤️

Ill have more updates on the Renamon animation and the next short animation poll soon.

Just became a member! Gotta say I love this the most…any prospects of doing more Judy?

So yeah, the 120hz version is laggy/stuttering. But the thing is, not even my PC can run it, or it's just encoded wrong? I'm not sure if you've tried playing it or not. But my PC does have a RTX 3070Ti so...I'd assume it would be able to run fine if it were just the Q3. Besides, I've gotten 120hz videos from another 3D artist on here at least that seem to work fine at 5K so I'm not sure. And ah okay, I see. Well like I said, when the Judy one was farther out, it was at least mostly fine... and I did try the VR Test you posted and it's sort of okay other than reduced framerate, but I think part of the issue also is that for some reason it's just a bit wide or something so it looks unnatural? idk, I also noticed that about even just the flat SBS Lucario one you did, for some reason it looks stretched sideways. I'm not sure if you can render them different or maybe even squish them in horizontally? But I appreciate the work you're doing still. (And the older ones, they also have issues of stretching outward at the sides and top and bottom but I think that's just a symptom of using the fish eye render method for VR stuff. Those always look kinda bad....)

When you say "has trouble playing" do you mean laggy? frame stuttering? The h265 is 120 fps so it may be a bit more intense on the hardware than the previous videos. I'll see what I can do about that soon. As for the cross-eyed issues, when I was initially dialing in the settings for this video, the app I used to view stuff in VR had changed and I couldn't find the settings for focusing the video when testing... I tried my best here but it may not have turned out as good as it should. Due to the fur on this animation, it takes a lot of time to render (too long to do another one in 4KPerEye). But I may be able to render in lower res and upscale with the new tool I used for the 120fps. I'll be looking into this and get back to you guys.

I'm new so I'm unsure if I'm supposed to post here or DM. So like, as far as this new animation with VR... I'm not really sure what is going on with the h265 version but yeah kind of doesn't work, or at least has trouble playing and makes me really cross-eyed. And then the h264 version I tried and yeah the framerate is okay, but I'm not sure if the camera changes focus? Because when Judy is away from the body, it's mostly okay, but then when she comes in everything makes me super cross-eyed. (I don't know if you've had others in the VR tier to chime in, but the previous videos kinda have issues too. Different ones, but still.) (Also if it matters, I'm using a meta quest 3.)
