A Check In ~ 07/03/24

Hey folks, so I wanted to just keep everyone up to date since this decision has ended up requiring more thought than expected.

So, as some of you may know, I planned for July to be the launch of NSFW audios back in like March. And that timeline still feels right! But, I've found out through a consultant and overall observation that this is a bit more of a complicated decision than I expected.

I originally just thought I could post any NSFW audios on Patreon, however I've recently found out that they often boot people off their site at will for interpretations of rules or things that aren't even in their rules. I'm consulting some coworkers who already post on Patreon to see if they have any advice for what to avoid. However, from what IS in their service terms already, there is a lot of content I would not be able to make, particularly around fetishes and the different ways they can be interpreted. I've heard of someone having their Patreon shut down for a vampire NSFW audio, cited for necrophilia because technically vampires are the undead. With interpretations like that, it feels a bit trepidatious LMAO. And I've always been a fetish queen so, I like my creative freedom.

What I'm currently thinking is perhaps only hosting certain series here that don't involve any fetishes, and posting more fetish heavy audios on my OhCleo, OR just posting all NSFW audios on OhCleo, along with some SFW. I also need to work on getting all my previous audios uploaded on both Patreon and OhCleo if that's the route I go. OhCleo's terms of service are a bit more open-minded and generous, and so it seems like one of the safest sites you can host right now. I've been lucky enough to have some friends who have already done the research share spreadsheets with me, and out of all the websites, OhCleo seems like the best fit as far as the diverse range of content they allow.

But anyway, that's the update on NSFW audios.

ALSO - I mentioned a discord a while ago. I originally kind of lost interest in making a discord due to seeing some other creators discords and seeing how much hell it was giving them, but one of my most organized friends very generously offered to help me set up and moderate, so that is back on the table. We are currently working on setting up the server and configuring bots, as well as deciding if it's open to all or only Patreons. Much to think about!

Hope that check in is exciting, hopeful, or at least enlightening~ Sex work online has never been cut and dry or clear, and has always been a bit jumpy as a lot of credit card companies and paypal are pretty anti-sex workers, so there's a lot to consider when making NSFW content.
