Character Tests and About Comic Stories (Long Explanation)
Added 2020-07-10 14:04:29 +0000 UTCOnce in a while I make these which are very far apart from my usual bondage comics. Think of it as a (what if) comic chapter and most of the time its during when I feel a slump on the current comic.
Like the namesake of the third tier (Galactic Enforcer), I have an idea of a sci fi sentai-like story with some bondage of course, and this has been an idea since the inception of this Patreon.
So l want to address what some comments on the last post said about the stories and tying up girls for the sake of just tying up girls. I've believe that the majority of you guys would come here for the "bondage" and I had this mindset of at least 1 scene per 5 pages to have bondage in it. And Yes, I agree its sometimes shoehorned in there and its just me playing it safe. That's why I ask suggestions and make polls.
Last Chapter was more story driven cause I wanted to flesh out the characters which have just been ideas laying around since the beginning like Freya and Eric's relationship. It was just the right opportunity to do so plus they already have a good background thanks to the first and second chapter.
And just like that I haven't have a situation to bring out the "Galactic Enforcer" idea,It was supposed to be this chapter until a poll voted otherwise.There's even a preview on Chapter 4 page 17, yes, I am not a very good risk taker. Along with the fear of losing Patrons I always follow the poll decisions and suggestions So in most cases the Bondage come's first before the story.
So I just make sketches and present ideas until I could have the right time to present these stories.
And like the "galactic enforcer", Here we have a fantasy story and I know quite a few artist in Patreon who have Fantasy themes and stories, I follow quite a few. Some have a more DnD approach classic wester fantasy and some a more asian jrpg theme. So I thought of something that I like, 90's Fantasy Isekai. Let this old geezer tell ya something back in the day isekais were great and not repetitive plus they got giant robots too.
To keep up with my OC continuity, think of it as the gang playing some kind of DnD with twists. And it gets a lot of elements from these old isekais.
So here's some Anime suggestions if you want some old school isekais:
Aura Battler Dunbine, Magic Knight RayEarth, Mashin Hero Wataru, NG knight Lamune, Vision of Escaflown, Those who hunt Elves, Fushigi Yuugi.
For my final words, This is a "fetish" page first and foremost I will try to be more outgoing in the future but for now I want to maintain the overall satisfaction of the majority of Patrons.

I can see where wanting more organic story telling is difficult when you're a bondage fanatic. I love the ratio that happens in your work, but I can see how building up to it is important too. Sometimes we can obsess more over the payoff versus the journey getting there. I wouldn't want to see that much less bondage in the comics for this, but I can see how maybe having some slight 1-2 page intermissions might help to break up the cascade of bondage pages a bit. I think you already do that regardless but giving the characters a bit more time to breathe is understandable; only caveat being when they ARE bound you make it worth that couple of pages...which I'm sure you'd do given your usual helping. :D

2020-07-17 16:24:00 +0000 UTCThose designs are just S-Class AWESOME. And yeah, I am curious as to the kind of story this would be! Sure, most of us are here for the bondage, but it's also important to build up to the actual tying. The suspense builds tension for when the ropes/tape do finally get used. So long as there are hints that someone is going to get tied, you could probably get away with draw pages with less bondage. Sometimes just watching the characters' reactions to the idea of getting tied up can be just as thrilling. Or when starting a new Chapter, you could open it In Media Res-start in the middle (character or characters already tied/being tied) and then explain they got there.

I personally love story driven bondage and wouldn't mind waiting to see some good scenes in the story. preferably I prefer it to occur more organically rather than shoehorned in as you said but you do need to please the patrons supporting you but my vote is to see your idea flourish more than just satisfy my fetish :P Besides a cute girl with her hair braided already satiates me XD lol

Obviously it would need to include bondage in it at some point, that's why we're here, but I think if the plot is interesting enough, it could be worth the wait. Use this as an opportunity to try out other forms of bondage too. I'm for it.

2020-07-10 19:00:17 +0000 UTCI do agree with you that the kink is what drew us here. The ratio you talk about is solid (at least one scene per month) however, with that you do have flexibility. I think most patrons at the 10 dollar level understand there may be a month that has just setup or story and not be too upset. Both a fantasy or sci fi take sounds awesome to me and I think you should go for it!

And yeah, I understand the fear of losing Patrons, especially since you can't please everyone. Probably the only piece of advice I could give is for you to keep doing what you love most. I imagine the stories, the bondage scenarios and the characters you wrote are what drove many of us to come here. I know it did for me, at least. Long comment aside, I can't wait to see how the rest of your stories develop!
