The kid with Magatama around his neck felt familiar when I first saw him and after re-watching S1 that's when I saw him that's Kaigaku (the one in zenitsu's flashback during the spider brother battle that threw a half eaten peach at his head and said Gramps was wasting his time training him). So the kid that sacrificed Gyomei & the 8 Children survived and became a student of former Hashira next to zenitsu without receiving any punishment as far as I can tell. P.S. it becomes even more messed up once you realize if he went into the temple the demon wouldn't be able to enter because of the wisteria incense that repels demons and all he would have to do is wait till morning.

This has been going on for the last 1000 years. And the curse isnt ending with him, the black haired child you see with Ubuyashiki is actually his son. Also remembr, Nezuko isnt at the temple, she's with Sakonji Urokodaki, Tanjiro's master in S1.
