The image above is the poster for My Chair, illustrated by Andrew Fowler. Also if you click play you can hear a few seconds of the soundtrack, composed by Maestro Monty Willoughby. He is doing an incredible job. Our deadline for everything is August 25th. Hopefully we will make it. Then, it will be uploaded on here. I am very excited.

Brief Lesson on Animation

The score for My Chair is well on the way. Monty Willoughby is killing it. He is incredible. He's about 70% done with the temp track. After that we will rent a studio and he will record the whole thing on a grand piano. I'm very excited to share it with you. This is what my entire life was dedicated to for the last eight months - and longer. I quit my job for this!!!

Only a few changes remain before the final upload, but this is pretty much it. I wanted to get it out to you as soon as possible, so, there is still no score, which is being worked on as I write this. I don't think the absence of music detracts much, though. Last night at 12:57 AM, while I was animating, the shutter curtain on my Sony a7iii snapped. I had read before that there were cases in which the shutter had broken at 10k-50k clicks. "Most still fine well past 150k." I read tonight. Well, using ExifTool I discovered that my camera has made exactly 113,342 clicks in its lifetime. Between this project, the stop motion movie I made with Joel last year, and "My Big Show" (along with dropping it on the ground like, five times at lea...

Final (I think) update before upload

Thank you thank you thank you for your patience. I have only two pages of the script left to shoot and edit before I’m done with my end of this long delayed, long awaited, long toiled over short film. As you read in the title, this will be the final update - the remaining two pages of the script are the climax and ending, and I don’t want to spoil anything. Although, if you’ve kept up with the previous updates, you may be able to piece some of the story together.

God damn I struggled with this. Finally breaking ground on the block city. It's impossible to replicate the intricate majesty of Walter Wick's I Spy landscapes. I do not have the talent. But... I'm still pretty happy with it, it's the best I can do.

Hello My Beautiful Creatures

Co-directed, co-wrote and co-animated a movie with Joel Haver! He set a challenge for himself to make twelve movies in twelve months, and approached me to tag team his "April" project. Well things got a little out of hand and we wound up shooting together 27 days straight, 15 hours or more a day. We (95% Joel) spent the next month and a half editing and collecting voice over.
