NOOOOOOOOO HINATA

RIMURU vs HINATA ROUND 2! Tensura Season 3 Episode 8 Reaction! (UNCUT VERSION)

Comments

I am not implying anything about the future, just the past. But it's possible next week will not address this at all! (Remember back in Season 2 with Shion? They let us stew for about 5 minutes between the revelation of her death and the suggestion of a possible solution, in an episode entitled Hope. It seemed they were deathly afraid of the possibility of pissing off and losing some viewers. Now everyone is anxious, but no one is in despair over it because we figure, there's gotta be an answer. So now the animators have the leeway to not immediately get to the point.)

And we are currently 1-1 for said female characters being revived by the end of the arc. One way or another, Hinata will break the tie. Find out next time on Demon Slime Z!

Daniel Meissner

Fuck, you're right. Shizu, Shion, now Hinata. WTF MAN

DefinitivelyZach

You know, I just realized for the first time, after all this time, that this is the third arc where some female major character close to Rimuru got offed. Are we trying to evolve Rimuru through trauma?

myst0dreamer

F that sword tho

DefinitivelyZach

I meant the end game of the main plotlines for the webnovel. That knowledge puts everything in new perspective and makes Slime 100x better for me. After the main things resokved I stopped following the web novel, and now I only watch anime, buy light novels in Japanese and watch summaries on yt.

MonographicSingleheaded

Do you mean the end game of the whole story or just this current set of events? Also, I know the web novel deviates quite a lot from the light novel. For example, I know the final boss is different. But the light novels are not complete.

myst0dreamer

I'm not sure I understand what Ramiris has to do with it, and I just reread the first 14 volumes of the light novel in the last few weeks and I don't remember seeing anything about her using thought interference ever. Besides we don't know anything about any sword, or this sword in particular, having a mind or something to be interfered with. The way I see it someone made the sword do what it did, and magic swords we know have the ability to evolve in their wielder's image, and it must be through some mechanism, somehow it can be influenced. Future Attack Prediction, as stated by Raphael itself in Volume 7, which I reread yesterday, is learned. By observing how Hinata used her Compute Prediction Skill (part of her Unique Skill Measurer aka Mathematician) to predict Rimuru's attacks, Raphael, a superior calculative Ultimate Skill, was able to figure out how Hinata was doing it, and did it better. Also as I see it, too many people were involved in the battle situation for everyone to come to the same realization at the same time. Too much momentum. It didn't take anything more than normal manipulation to get everything to go the way it did. When one person had doubts, the other person would be thinking there was no choice but to fight. Hinata was thinking, for instance, that this was the exact opposite situation from her and Rimuru's first meeting, now he won't listen to her. She decided the only way she could get him to listen was to win the battle, and then she would apologize.

myst0dreamer

Dude I have head-canon half confirmed web novel based theories about the end game I cant talk about hahahah. I wanna but cant *cries*

MonographicSingleheaded

yes, and I have a head-canon theory about this that I will talk about once everything about the fight is revealed in the anime. not trying to spoil some pretty cool reveals

Daniel Meissner

but that makes no sense to me at least unless the sword had a mind to interference with because in the source material Ramiris used thought interference to make rimuru forget that he was angry at her for attacking him & the kids with her Elemental Colossus because hinata could have tried way harder to stop the battle also future attack prediction isn't an acquired skill but an inferred one skill meaning Raphael just studied Hinata's attack enough to predicted her movements.

Fireheart310

Raphael was analyzing Hinata's fighting and eventually had enough data to predict it perfectly.

myst0dreamer

Just proves that all those weeks of people predicting what would happen, and there was no way they could guess that a sword would just up and intervene in the fight! Typical Slime! That's one reason why people who knew the story were saying, just wait, the payoff is coming.

myst0dreamer

No I think it was that the sword was experiencing the thought interference that made it act.

myst0dreamer

Raphael commented thought interference was coming from the sword does that mean the sword was scrabbling Hinata's thought process at some points.

Fireheart310

same here same here, they do rearrange stuff as you guys said earlier but seems they doing a goopd job overall while compressing shet a lil tiny bit.

MonographicSingleheaded

XDDD

MonographicSingleheaded

we will most likely have to wait a couple weeks until they reveal what was really going on in the Rimuru vs Hinata fight so we probably shouldn't say too much about it right now! I have faith they will explain it properly, they have been sticking to the source material quite well this season after all.

Daniel Meissner

also, Zach. keep cooking :) love your mind. also, 15:05 Yes Shion, I SURRENDER. 20:19 believe me dude that wasnt random. I mean, he does get power ups but imho it s well within the logic. there is no typical shonen nonsense here to me. it is all within the rules set for this series is how I see it. I cant get enough of this story. I will not say more, ENJOY the journey. I hope the animate the whole thing. ps 23:29 "I didnt wanna strike you cuz you would most likely survive and steal my technique." is the greatest back handed compliment LMAO hahahahah

MonographicSingleheaded

also, notice that evcery fkin scene was properly animated. even the fights in the background. wow

MonographicSingleheaded

Perfection. and to think this show is really just getting started. ~ I fkin love this. subtleties and quality of writing is just ~~

MonographicSingleheaded

'Melt Slash' is dope, it is made by coating your sword with a 'Disintegration' spell. In other words, it is an Art that incorporates the strongest Holy Magic attack and master swordsmanship. While in use, the attack reaches light speed and its destruction surpasses that of a normal 'Disintegration' spell. "What idiot would let that attack hit them on purpose?" and then Raphael-sensei stays quiet.... I think we have a pretty good idea what she is hiding!! hahaha gotta love when she is a lil mischievous
