An Announcement Regarding the Next Few Chapters

Hey guys! So, I have a bit of another announcement to make!

I’ve been giving this a lot of thought, but ultimately, I have to make a call here that I think is necessary. I’m going to have to ask you guys if I could give my editor another week to catch up on things. The previous week has been… pretty heavy for him, and it was primarily taken up by the funeral service. And while he is back this week, he’s been busy catching up on coursework and homework as well as the studies he missed out on the week prior. This is on top of the mild flu he got when he arrived back from the funeral too.

I didn’t want to put more on his plate this week, especially with the fact that it’s only been a week since his father’s passing.

However! This doesn’t stop me from taking the initiative! I don’t want to keep you guys waiting without any updates, so I decided to release what I have so far! 

As mentioned in the author’s notes above Chapters 152 and 153, I decided to break up the original Chapter 152 into two chapters. That being 152 and 153. The reason for this is because I felt like the previous chapter didn’t really reflect what I had planned for the buildup for the encounter with Ignalius, with many foreshadowing elements as well as practical elements such as just setting up the pieces and the stakes as well as the lay of the land and the force composition just entirely absent from the original version. This would make the actual encounter feel a bit… vague, like a fight without really knowing where all the pieces are and what exactly is going on. I also believe that the whole cave scene really needed more time to get fleshed out, to really feel like the grand caving moment I wanted this arc to reach. Moreover, as mentioned in the Author’s Note to Chapter 153, I also wanted to set up the Cheese Merchant dilemma as well, and properly hammer that realization in prior to the full fight! :D This is on top of also adding a bit more to Ignalius’ attack, to clarify what actually happened!

I hope this is alright with you guys. However, I’m not done just yet. I also started properly writing Chapter 154, the Ignalius fight chapter, and I’m releasing a WiP for that too so that we can see the immediate ramifications of Emma’s attack, and exactly what I was building up to for that in Chapter 152! :D 

You can expect the fully edited and finalized versions for Chapters 152 and 153 next week! As well as the first full released version for Chapter 154 next week as well! :D
