Announcement Regarding Patreon Subscribers on iOS

Hey everyone!

I just have a small announcement to make regarding a few updates from Patreon itself!

Basically, what’s happening is that Apple is going to be enforcing their in-app purchase system for all iOS transactions starting November. What this means is that anyone who signs up for a Patreon membership through the iOS app will be charged an extra 30% on top of the regular membership fees.

However, this only applies to new subscriptions on the Patreon app on Apple/iOS devices after November. Existing subscriptions will remain the same price and will be unaffected. However, if you unsubscribe and then re-subscribe, then this new pricing will apply to you.

This is only an Apple/iOS thing. So if you subscribe on your desktop or on the Android app, this won’t affect you.

I just wanted to drop an announcement in order to inform you guys of the updates, as I want to be transparent and upfront about any updates I receive from Patreon regarding this sort of thing! :D
