We have officially ended S6 of Buffy, truly another emotional ass episode 😭😭. Gonna enjoy these Angel episodes before I grow some gray hairs. Almost loss Giles which I probably doubt because he had a plan, but it still didn’t make me feel any better. That Xander and Willow moment got me. Lastly, Tara…. You’ll always be with me every single episode.

2022-12-15 04:46:11 +0000 UTCI used to have such a hard time with spike getting his soul back because I didn’t understand that in universe the vampire without a soul is a completely different character than the vampire with a soul. Spike is just so dynamic and malleable that the audience was kind of lulled into forgetting that he’s still a monster because he was on a leash the whole show. All that being said, I have chosen to see spike before this episode a monster and after this episode a man similarly to how the Angel/Angelus dynamic works. There could never be a real world excuse for spikes actions in seeing red (and there isn’t one in universe either besides the fact that spike was always evil) but we do get to try to see that event as the actions of a different character. In any case, it’s a decent enough cliffhanger.
