Buffy The Vampire Slayer 3x14 “Bad Girls” Reaction

I’m just smh, never would I expect Buffy to just go “to hell with responsibilities and thinking”. This episode demonstrated how bad of an influence Faith is on Buffy. Buffy skipping classes, ditching exams, ditching Willow, attempted robbery, almost killing a police officer, and now know of a dead body…… this is baffling to me.
I would had assumed due to this bs, she would piece the correlation between Faith and Xander since she was butting her head in it. Then she really KEPT trying to talk during the exam like are you dead ass rn? Where did the damn teacher go like HELLO! Nobody called Joyce about that? The police never made it known of two female robbers suspects like WTF?! Angel didn’t question Buffy blood on her hand….. yeah the ooc was snapping this episode. But once again sunnydale don’t cover any news regardless of its mysteries disappearance or deaths. But the Angel one was OOC.
Then after finally questioning when the watcher comes, he finally appears. I know him from legacies (takes plots from Buffy). But it’s odd Buffy got a new watcher before Faith, like Faith needs ones because she is HORRENDOUS. She dead ass said she don’t care that she killed someone and then hid the body. Send her ass to jail ASAP lol.
Until next time guys, make sure to be safe 💐.

I don't get why she's ignoring her friends but I do understand why she's generally angry, particularly with adults and authority. People say there are no/few consequences from Helpless but I think this episode is entirely due to what happened it that episode. In Helpless she was let down by her father, her surrogate father figure and the Council. Now they send another watcher who she naturally despises but I also don't think she's forgiven Giles completely so she's lashing out at him as well (I know some people disagree with this bit but there you go :D). My main problem is that it's all very quick and, ideally, this should have built for longer but it's tv I guess. I do, however, buy that she's angry and feels like she can't trust the adults in her life (her mum stitched her up in Gingerbread too and I think the timing of that was deliberate too).
I also think that it's a companion episode to Band Candy. In that one Giles is her age and (presumably) angry at the Council (since we do know that later he runs away from them). In Band Candy he smashes into a store, steals and then brutally beats up a cop. He's under the influence of the chocolate so he's acting like he's Buffy's age. Buffy and Faith commit exactly the same crimes. In the end Faith accidentally kills a guy. You could say so does Giles due to Eyghon.
My point is, I think Band Candy is in this season for a reason. It looks like a fun, stand alone episode, but I think it's supposed to foreshadow what can happen when the Council screws with you.
BUT, the great thing about this show is that everybody looks at it slightly differently :)

Xander and Cordelia fight because, with the exception of the short time they dated, that's all they've done for the past 12 years. Cordelia has been bullying Xander and Willow for over a decade, "Remember! The "We Hate Cordelia" club, of which you are the treasurer"!

Dont let nobody try to prove you wrong in the comments. Your feelings about each character comes from the heart and are always correct. Some people are just fans of toxicity 🤣

Thank you!!! You judged this episode correctly! I always thought this episode was overrated for the fact that it just makes no sense. Buffy is way too strong of a character to let Faith influence her. This was just laziness on the writers part with them realizing they're more than halfway through the season so lets start rushing. I was never a big fan of faith as a character as well. Girl i told you in one of your live rants that season 2 is gonna be your favorite by the time your done with the series lol

Wesley, the New Watcher, is assigned to be both of their Watchers. I think it's a heavy critique of the Council ( not that its not easy to be critical of them. They suck) that they think that 2 Slayers can be managed by one Watcher, a new one at that. So much of Faith's actions are a result of her background, not unlike Xander. Faith came from an abusive household, and you can see that she's had issues with authority and directions and just being able to fit in since she got to Sunnydale. As for if she cares or not that she killed the Mayor's assistant, I'd say she very firmly does. You can see that when she returns to his body and touches his chest. She just truly has no idea how to handle a situation like this, and she has a very natural distrust of people. I condemn Faith's actions, but I sure do understand what's caused her to have issues like this.
