I know people talked about powerscaling vs power system but I think this episode is actually a great example of their power scaling. Morel wont be at full power, hes gonna be at like 35%. Knov is strong, and if he was in a proper mental state would be able to fight at 100%. But because of the situation/unique conditions leading up to the fight, their fighting ability is ass right now. A weaker character could come out on top if that weaker character was at the top of his game. Just like how Gon was able to get the drop on hisoka a few times because of being underestimated/hisoka being distracted. What makes the powerscaling interesting in HxH is because its not "x will always beat y, and therefore x will always beat anyone that y could beat". It really depends on the match up/conditions and mental/physical state of the combatants. Biskey explains this to killua during the greed island arc. Or when morel says "you never know who will win a nen fight" Because overall strength output isnt really that important due to how flexible the power system is with techinques like the ones knuckle and shoot have.

Power system is not power scaling

It's the power system that people are referring too. Like how db has ki, Naruto has Chakra, OP has haki. Out of all of them Nen is most well thought out and everything is explained how and why it works the way it's does. It's almost endless possibilities.

The best power scaling in anime by far is shown in the series World Trigger. HunterxHunter has the best concept of power-formulation and utilization but if you want a consistent and defined model of power scaling you should look to World Trigger

Power scaling? I think some people be throwing terms all over the place, so I think they talking about the power system itself. For power scaling, I'd say it has a more balanced power scaling, where anything can happen in a battle so the weak can win over the strong in the right conditions.

For me personally Nen cemented itself as one of the GOATs when Bisky and Killua were going through the idea that just because someone is more powerful than you, everyone has off days and everyone has amazing days and if they sync up you can snatch a gnarly victory.

oh ya it wasn't totally clear but the reason Morel is at 35% is because of killua and Gon disrupting the selection and forcing him to surround the capital. That on top of having to face youpi without knov... He's the fucking champ of keeping his problems to himself.

It's power system. The scaling is good, but it has a few hacks (and the hacks have foreshadowing, so it's not like plot armor). If you look at Greed Island carefully, you can see the evolution of the characters in terms of powers to be clean, the techniques are well rounded.

They probably mean power systems. But no shade what do you think has the best power scaling? A lot of the Shonen has inconsistent power scaling

Its not the powerscaling that people love, its more the power system! The different categories of nen: ten,ren etc and the unique hatsu people have. How nen can change and how your creativity and thinking can make your own power. All the things that go into it, is what makes it amazing!

Actually they said it in this episode but its easily missed. Knov encountered Pouf's En (Butterfly guy), not Pitou's. So no one besides him got hit with Pouf's En.

The Uvogin verses Kurapika basically shows you the power scaling in Hunter X Hunter. In terms of Raw power, experience and Skill Uvogin was way more powerful then Kurapika. However because Kurapika used a conditions on his chains that limited who they could be used on, he was able to use the chains on Uvogin and beat him. So its more about strategy.

Imo I feel like Hunter x Hunter is too balanced. I personally like a few broken characters in my anime. But other than that I have no criticism of the Nen system. At least, no real criticism.

I think it's balanced greatly. Lycan you kind of hit it on the head and Bisky kind of explained it too someone might have more raw power but experience, situation, etc. plays a huge part in fighting which is awesome because in most series if your just stronger in raw power your mopping everyone but in this knowing an enemies weakness or planning an attack can actually put the weaker opponent at an advantage and actually win.

I believe most people say HxH has the best "Power System". With how you can do nearly anything you want with Nen with it still making sense in the world of HxH.
