i understant that pacing is killing you L4can especially as someone who watched it and read it week by week but with anime there is thing that it is slower and one of reason is that they give more time to manga have more chapters so they dont need to do so many fillers ... when you think about that in OP is not that much fillers and it have almost 1000 episodes ...

Just to let you know, like 2 or 3 episodes ago when doffy was ‘accelarating’ healing himself and finished it when he we has still in the cliff side where luffy smashed him too, the subtitles said that doffy said “I’m back” but I’ve been studying Japanese for a little while and one of the words doffy actually used was 復活(fukkatsu) meaning ‘revive(d)’ and he basically said something along the lines of “I’ve been revived”, so I think it’s fair to say that doffy has fully recovered from the gamma knife attack or at least to the extent that it shouldn’t really effect him much at all anymore, at least that’s the way I interpreted what he meant by saying that line anyway, not to mention we also see his stomach steam up where his hand was over the spot he was operating on. Also please excuse the way I’ve structured this paragraph, I’m currently very tired while writing this lol

I cant believe people are defending this arc with its awful pacing. Great moments ruined and watching it weekly was a nightmare. After the first episode in the next arc, the pacing will return to normal so don't worry you'll regain your love for one piece if it was slightly lost in this arc like it was for me.

@Lycan it was originally 3 minutes for birdcage and 4 minutes for Luffy. Then that episode ended with 3 minutes for Luffy. (Which was your confusion on why it said 3 minutes twice) Then the last episode shows proof they are slowing down the cage because now the cage and luffy are equally 60 seconds.

Just for a heads up toei is gonna stretch one of the most impactful moments in this arc till it resembles nothing of it's original in the manga, it'll be within the next few episodes so be prepared Lycan lol

bra, Lycan let the time thing go. DBZ set the record on that a long time ago. Goku vs frieza for 30 some episodes was just 5 min. It's called anime time for a reason lol

Lycan you got the time wrong lol, you can keep trying but its caught on vid. Birdcage 2 episodes they said 4 mins until it was closed then they said 3 mins until Luffy was back. Last episode they paused the Birdcage to stall it enough that it equalized when the Birdcage would close, and Luffy would come back, and both now have 60 seconds at the beginning of this episode. So the time is accurate, unlike you think.
