This World HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, join us for a compassionate and empowering exploration of HIV/AIDS through an intersectional, LGBTQ2SIA+ inclusive, and kink-affirming lens. This free community class seeks to destigmatize, educate, and create a space for open dialogue to combat fear, myth, and superstition surrounding HIV/AIDS.

What you'll learn:

• Understanding HIV/AIDS: Gain a foundational understanding of HIV, its effects on the body, and how medical advancements have transformed prevention, treatment, and quality of life.

• Dispelling Myths: Address common misconceptions about HIV/AIDS, particularly those impacting LGBTQ2SIA+, kink, and sharps communities. Learn the realities about transmission risks, safer play, and breaking down stigma.

• Intersectional Realities: Explore how HIV/AIDS intersects with race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and systemic inequities, and the impact these intersections have on access to care and community support.

• Evidence-Based Practices: Learn about modern prevention tools like PrEP and PEP, the significance of U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable), and harm reduction practices tailored to diverse lifestyles and play styles.

• Promoting Compassion in Community: Explore strategies to challenge stigma within and beyond LGBTQ2SIA+ and kink communities, fostering empathy, advocacy, and mutual support.

• Safer Sharps, Sex, and Kink Practices: Understand how to engage in sharps, sex, and kink play safer and consensually in the context of HIV/AIDS awareness, including hygiene, disclosure, and risk mitigation.

This class is for everyone: LGBTQ2SIA+ individuals, kinksters, sharps players, allies, and those seeking to deepen their understanding of HIV/AIDS in an affirming, inclusive environment. Together, we’ll celebrate resilience, amplify voices, and promote compassion across all communities.
