Ghostly Roses

So, here it is guys! There's honestly so much I could say about this set. Shot on my Pentax LX with a 43mm lens and Kodak Tri-Max 400 film. I shot the first two right out of the shower, with heavy steam. The third was shot an hour or two after when all the steam had evaporated. I actually thought that I had shot these in color and then when I saw them, remembered that for some reason, I wasn't able to get the proper exposure I needed with my Pentax K1000 which had the color film in it.  I was honestly really disappointed at first. I was excited about the pop of color that the roses would add to the photo. I feel like they're a little lost in the b&w. But, I really do like how the blurriness caused my the steam paired with b&w film almost give it an old polaroid feel. I was also really stoked about the double exposure! I'm really trying to get more consistent with executing my ideas and double exposures are so tricky to nail. I love how  my arms are raised and aligned with the roses, almost making the roses look they're replacing my arms. Kind of like rose wings? I was definitely going for a dream like vibe. Did I come close? I'd love to know your thoughts on this set! Which is your favorite pic and why? What kind of emotion, if any do these evoke in you?

Thank you!! Love your feedback and that you enjoyed seeing a little bit more of the process. I'll absolutely keep the bts sneak peaks coming. So glad you enjoyed this set :)

So happy you love the set!! I'm honestly still deciding how I feel about the first two, but I really like how you describe them :)

Thank you! Still getting used to using the self timer but super happy with how it turned out :)

Really cool seeing this set after you hinted at it a while back! The second one is definitely my favorite. The emotions I get from it are probably undecided or conflicted; kinda like something is bubbling under the surface waiting to be revealed. Lovely set!

I absolutely love this set. While I do think that a color version would have been just as amazing, there is something to the black and white. I love how mystical these are, it's like you're fading into the mist and eventually bursting out with your rose wings.

Once again the double exposure turned out amazing
