It was only a few years ago there was a big fuss about companies and websites tracking our data so they can target adverts at us. Now our government is saying we HAVE to upload personal ID and data like a passport to access anything adult or 18+, including drugs/alcohol and the likes.. I've never heard the words Data breach before... And they must of never heard the words Parental controls either because turning everything into a surveillance state over that really is bonkers. This seems to effecting EU as well now at least on X as the EU has its own plan to have this introduced in 12 months too.
Patreon seems to be okay and unchanged, it think because it has card payments linked to an account it can avoid this.
