10/12/2023 - Final Dev Update of the Year.

Twinewood has come a long way since its release at the start of the year and I’m incredibly grateful for all the feedback, appreciation and support you’ve all given me. Whilst I’m a little frustrated that I won’t be able to get update 1.7 out to you all before the turn of the year I believe that it’s going to be worth the unusually long wait. Firstly, I’ve decided to rename the update to 1.8 as the amount of content it contains is easily equal to two of my previous larger drops and this will be the last update before the full release of episode 2, which I’m going to call update 2.0.

Here are some of the features you can expect in 1.8.

• Brand new waifu card UI.
• Fully redone waifu card art for every existing card and 4 brand new cards.
• Updated art style.
• Episode 1 renders up to the end of the first day have been fully redone.
• Megan’s first recording session with Toko has been re-written and fully re-rendered.
• Brand new date and time system. Some segments of the game, starting with the new content introduced in update 1.8. Will be much more choice focused. You’ll be able to choose how you spend each time slot from a list of events that change depending on your choices.
• 800+ new renders of continued episode 2 story.
• Introduction of a new love interest, either Kara (Futa path) or Maya (Vanilla).

TLDR -

Update 1.7 is now called update 1.8.

It has a shit ton of content.

In future I’d like the gaps between updates to not exceed two months, so I’ll be making efforts to better manage my time between Uni-work, development, and gaming. (Fuck you for consuming my life for a while there Baldur’s Gate 3.)

Update 1.8 will be released mid-late January 2024 provided nothing crazy happens to me.
