Chapter 3: I Am Sasuke, Let's Be Friends!

The icon resembled a piece of paper, torn from a notebook, with some text on it. However, the text was too small to make out from the icon.

*Click.*

"One Year Future Event Guide: Briefly reminds the host of the major events that will happen in the next year."

"Use or not?"

"Yes" "No"

Without hesitation, Sasuke chose "Yes." It was the last item in the novice gift package, and leaving it unused would be a waste.

*Ding dong!*

Suddenly, a clear sound echoed in his mind.

"Current time: January, 60th year of the Konoha Chronicle."

"Brief notes on the future timeline of native characters:"

- March, 60th year of Konoha: Ninja School graduation exam.

- May, 60th year of Konoha: C-rank mission to the Land of Waves.

- July, 60th year of Konoha: Chunin Exams held in Konoha Village.

- August, 60th year of Konoha: Orochimaru launches a plan to destroy Konoha Village. Uchiha Itachi returns to Konoha Village.

- September, 60th year of Konoha: Tsunade becomes the Fifth Hokage of Konoha Village.

- October, 60th year of Konoha: The original Sasuke follows Orochimaru to pursue power.

"Note 1: The above events are based on the previous timeline and may not occur exactly as listed due to the host's influence."

"Note 2: Showing off during these events will grant additional system points."

"Additionally, a map of Konoha Village is gifted to the host!"

"Wish the host a pleasant showing off!"

*Ding dong!*

As suddenly as it had appeared, the system left.

"So that means..." Sasuke's eyes flashed with determination as he muttered to himself, "There are less than two months until the Ninja School graduation exam."

This was critical.

In the original timeline, Sasuke wasn’t the strongest among his peers after the exam and often failed to shine. Right now, his own strength was even weaker than that of the original Sasuke.

What’s the key to standing out?

*Strength.*

Showing off with strength is awe-inspiring. Showing off without strength is foolish. Sasuke understood this well.

While editing the materials earlier, he had summarized the main problem: the original Sasuke failed to stand out because he wasn’t strong enough.

"If I were as strong as Madara, would I fear any backlash from showing off?" Sasuke smirked. "I need to think this through carefully."

"There are so many ways to show off!"

"The original Sasuke’s methods were too monotonous. Showing off can be done through appearance, actions, or even words."

Sasuke opened the system’s attribute list and examined the hexagon display. His current stats showed his *Body* rating at D, while all others were at E.

He had to figure out what these attributes represented first. That was his style—he couldn’t afford to be careless. It was the same when he played games: he always read through skill and equipment descriptions thoroughly before making a move.

He studied the hexagon’s labels, and soon lines of explanations appeared for each attribute:

- *Spirit*: Affects the host's total chakra, recovery speed, control, and quality.

- *Body*: Determines physical fitness, stamina, endurance, and proficiency in taijutsu.

- *Illusion*: Impacts the ability to use and resist genjutsu.

- *Ninja*: Governs the ability to learn and master ninjutsu.

- *Power*: Influences wrist strength, leg strength, and core strength.

- *Speed*: Affects agility, reaction time, burst speed, and stamina for sustained high-speed movement.

Sasuke carefully read every word, developing a clear understanding of the six attributes.

"To simplify," he mused, "Body, Power, and Speed are tied to taijutsu, while Spirit, Ninja, and Illusion are technique-based. Since my Body is already at D, I should focus on improving Power and Speed next."

He formulated a growth plan in his mind.

"How do I improve, though?"

Clicking on *Spirit*, he noticed a rating:

E (0/100)

A progress bar appeared, and Sasuke realized what it meant—he needed system points to improve attributes. And how did he earn system points? By showing off.

"Time to go out and show off!"

Sasuke shook his head, picked up fragments of a broken mirror, and looked at his reflection. A smirk tugged at his lips as he thought, "With a face like this, it would be a waste not to show off!"

---

*At the Ninja School*

Half an hour later, Sasuke arrived at the Ninja School. In the courtyard, dozens of students were gathered, looking like they were in the middle of a PE class.

The scene looked oddly familiar.

His eyes were immediately drawn to a blond boy in orange and black clothing, sitting alone on a swing. The noisy crowd ignored him.

"The Prince..." Sasuke thought.

"Uzumaki Naruto, the Nine-Tailed Jinchuriki of Konoha Village."

Sasuke’s lips curled into a smile as he approached the swing. Behind the unnoticed din, he stood before Naruto.

Naruto looked up, his expression shifting from confusion to disdain. Why is he here? he thought.

This boy was the one Sakura liked.

He, Naruto, liked Sakura.

That made this boy his enemy.

Naruto turned away, not wanting to engage. But Sasuke extended his hand, a warm smile on his face.

"Hello, Naruto. I’m Sasuke. Let’s be friends!"
