It was a restless night.
Touji, exhausted and with dark circles under his eyes, walked out of the room.
Shion also had dark circles under her eyes, but she looked satisfied, occasionally glancing at Touji.
Touji, feeling uneasy, took three steps back.
"Shion-sama, are you always like this?" Touji asked, twitching his mouth.
Shion smirked mischievously, leaning her body against Touji.
"We're both girls, so what's the big deal? Besides, I always feel like you have this aura of being untouchable and divine."
Touji's mouth twitched again.
Shion's behavior had gone far beyond the playful teasing between regular girls.
As for the feeling of divinity, that was simply the immortal energy leaking from Touji.
Ordinary people, when coming into contact with it, would naturally feel a sense of reverence.
Being a shrine maiden, Shion’s sensitivity was much stronger than that of a regular person.
Touji sighed helplessly and then seriously asked, “Can you pinpoint the exact time the demon will emerge?”
At the mention of the word "demon," Shion’s playful demeanor shifted to seriousness. She looked towards the mountain behind the shrine, a trace of bitterness appearing on her face.
“Probably tonight, but I can’t be sure of the exact time!”
As soon as she finished, Shion grabbed Touji’s hands with a pleading look in her eyes.
Touji suddenly understood why Shion had acted so wildly the night before.
If they couldn’t stop the demon’s emergence, the shrine maiden would have to fulfill her duty by using all her powers to seal it.
This was the duty and obligation of every shrine maiden.
However, once their powers were exhausted, the shrine maiden’s life would also come to an end.
So, Shion had been doing things she normally wouldn’t dare to do, trying to live without regrets.
“Slug-sama, let me read your fortune!”
Without waiting for Touji's consent, Shion dragged her to start running.
Back inside the room, they knelt facing each other.
Shion’s demeanor changed completely, becoming solemn and elegant, as if she were a different person from the night before. A sacred and dignified aura surrounded her, even making Touji, who possessed immortal energy, feel a slight sense of reverence.
Suddenly, Touji felt a wave of energy—unlike chakra, but similar to the natural energy used in sage arts.
However, this energy didn’t seem to have any offensive power.
At that moment, Shion opened her eyes in surprise and examined Touji closely. After a few seconds of shock, a mischievous grin appeared on her face.
“Slug-sama, do you know what my final wish is? I want to fall in love with a boy, but everyone at the shrine is a girl. So, what should I do?”
Touji frowned.
It felt like Shion had uncovered something, but as long as nothing was explicitly revealed, Touji would firmly deny everything.
Seeing no reaction from Touji, Shion closed her eyes again.
This time, her confusion deepened as she looked at Touji, as if she were questioning her own understanding.
“Why? Why can’t I see your future? Why do I see only chaos when I look at you? I almost got lost in it!” Shion grasped Touji’s hands tightly.
Shion had performed fortune-telling on herself countless times before, and every time, the result was grim: she was destined to die tonight.
That’s why she had been reckless, trying various things without concern for the consequences.
She just wanted to experience life before leaving this world.
But then Touji appeared!
The inability to divine her future meant that there were endless possibilities. Maybe there was a real chance to defeat the demon.
Touji couldn't help but smile bitterly.
She didn’t belong to this world, and her system could avoid detection, even fooling the Slug Sage.
How could Shion’s divination technique possibly work on her?
*[Ding! Shion's affection increased by 30 points! Her affection is now at 80! You can now sign in!]*

*[Affection 100 points unlocked: 50% of Shrine Maiden’s Power! Earn the title "Honored as God"! Unlimited sign-in activated (sign-in interval: seven days)!]*
Touji was stunned.
It turned out that not only could she sign in ninja characters, but even a shrine maiden like Shion was eligible.
Though it was all just "Shrine Maiden’s Power," Touji found it troublesome.
But since it’s free, why not sign in?
"Sign in Shion!"
*[Ding! Successfully signed in Shion! Acquired 10% of Shrine Maiden’s Power! Affection increased by 5 points! Affection is now at 85! You can continue to sign in!]*
...
After a series of system notifications, Touji had gained 50% of Shion’s Shrine Maiden powers.
With half of Shion’s powers now within her, Touji felt a new energy surging through her body.
This energy was even more potent than chakra.
If she could figure out how to use it, it would definitely be more powerful and effective than chakra.
Moreover, Touji noticed that when the Shrine Maiden’s power interacted with natural sage energy, it underwent a transformation.
It became more stable and easier to control.
Even when Touji formed a seal, the Shrine Maiden’s power was activated.
Touji was overjoyed.
This could be her trump card. If she unleashed a jutsu powered by Shrine Maiden’s energy at the right moment, she might create a miracle.
At that moment, Touji noticed that Shion was acting strangely.
Her eyes were fixed on Touji, her face slightly flushed but without any attempt to hide her emotions.
“Slug-sama, my final wish is to fall in love. You wouldn’t reject me, would you?” Shion said as she crawled toward Touji.
Touji’s heart skipped a beat.
With all the system notifications, not only had Touji’s powers increased, but Shion’s affection had reached an alarming 96 points!
At this level of affection, Shion’s world revolved around Touji. Just four more points, and Shion might even abandon her faith for her.
“Shion, stop this! I’m a woman too!”
“So what? I just want the feeling of being in love, not necessarily the outcome! And besides…” Shion paused, then gave a sly smile, her gaze toward Touji heating up.
Touji couldn’t help but wonder.
Had Shion discovered something through her divination?
While she couldn’t predict the future, she could probably see the past, like determining something as simple as gender.
"Don’t come any closer! I’m warning you!"
“Warn me? Even if you scream your lungs out, no one’s coming to save you!”

I’m feeling sick with a headache, so this is all for today. I’ll resume updates tomorrow!

Chapter 167: The Demon Attacks (Subscribe!)
That evening, Touji sat on the tatami mat, frowning.
Meanwhile, Shion was crouched in the corner like a child who had done something wrong.
However, Shion wasn't upset at all. In fact, she looked quite happy.
"Don't be mad, Lord Slug. There's always a first time for things like this!" Shion said smugly.
Touji furrowed his brow, picked up a cushion, and threw it at Shion.
"You idiot! Shut up!"
But just then, Shion suddenly shuddered, and her expression turned serious.
"It's here! I can feel the demon's power leaking out!"
"Really? This is the tenth time you've said that. Are you sure you're not mistaken again?"
Shion fell silent, the words stuck in her throat.
The first time, Shion had used this exact excuse to trick him. But this time, she wasn't lying—she really felt it!
Suddenly, the ground trembled, and the shrine maidens began screaming in terror.
Touji, who had been sitting idly on the tatami, stood up and rushed to the door.
Outside, he saw chaos. Shrine maidens were running in panic, and several shaky figures were stumbling toward him.
"They're really here!"
"These are the undead, revived by the demon's power. Their goal is to stop me from sealing the demon again!" Shion explained, but her hands started wandering inappropriately once more.
"Hey! Even now, you're still thinking about that?"
"Consider it my last bit of madness. In my next life, I want to be a normal girl." Shion sighed and withdrew her hands, a solemn and dignified expression returning to her face.
"Don't worry. As long as I'm here, I won't let you die!"
Ding! Shion's favorability increased by 4 points! Current favorability: 100 points! You can now check in!
"Check in with Shion!"
Ding! Successfully checked in with Shion! You've gained the ability of prophecy!
Ding! Successfully checked in with Shion! You've gained 50% of her shrine maiden power! Next check-in available in seven days!
Just as the check-in was completed, the zombies wandering the ground became confused.
Their target was Shion, and they could distinguish her by the shrine maiden power emanating from her.
But now, Touji had fully acquired Shion's shrine maiden abilities. Combined with his other powers, Touji's energy surpassed even Shion's.
All the zombies turned their attention to Touji and began shambling toward him.
Touji smirked, unfazed.
Now that all the zombies were coming for him, it meant he didn't have to worry about protecting Shion.
Without hesitation, Touji leaped into the crowd of zombies, waiting patiently for them to approach.
But the zombies were too slow, and Touji quickly grew impatient.
"Too slow, too slow! Universal Pull, come to me!"
In an instant, all the zombies were drawn together, and with a surge of chakra, Touji unleashed another attack.
"Almighty Push!"
The combined forces of attraction and repulsion collided, causing the zombies' bodies to explode.
Though their limbs continued twitching on the ground, they were no longer a threat.
"Is it over already?"
Shion looked at Touji in disbelief.
At first, she'd thought Touji was just a pretty face, but she never imagined he could wipe out so many zombies with a single move.
For a moment, hope flickered in Shion's heart.
Maybe this mysterious figure could really defeat the demon!
But then she remembered all the inappropriate things she'd done before, and her face flushed red with embarrassment.
After all, now she knew Touji's true identity.
Death would be less humiliating than this...
"Lord Slug, this was just the vanguard. The demon's real location isn't here. Please, follow me!" Shion said seriously.
But Touji wore a suspicious expression.
After all, just a while ago, Shion had attacked him, and it still hurt a little.
"You're not tricking me again, are you?"
Shion's face reddened, and she angrily shouted, "No! Hurry up, let's go!"
Touji followed Shion, but this time he kept a safe distance of five or six meters behind her.
Before long, they arrived at the entrance of a cave and stopped.
Shion's expression grew even more serious.
Just as Touji was about to question her intentions, a powerful force suddenly surged from within the cave, forcing even Touji to take a step back.
"That power again... But this time, nothing can stop me. Today, I will end the shrine maiden lineage and destroy this world!" a voice bellowed from inside, followed by maniacal laughter.
The laughter echoed so loudly that Touji's eardrums throbbed with pain.
"Wait... Why are there two sources of shrine maiden power? Isn't it supposed to be passed down to only one? Are you cheating?!" the demon roared in fury.
After so many years, the demon had finally gained enough confidence to defeat one shrine maiden.
But two? That wasn't part of the plan.
And to make matters worse, one of those shrine maiden powers was mixed with another force, creating a combined power even the demon feared.
"I've changed my mind. I'm not coming out!" the demon muttered in frustration, and the powerful energy began to retreat into the cave.
Touji furrowed his brow.
The demon was a being comparable to Kaguya Otsutsuki, but its power was specifically countered by shrine maiden energy.
If they didn’t take care of it now, it would cause endless trouble in the future.
So Touji couldn't let it escape.
He stretched out his hand toward the cave entrance, and the cave instantly began to collapse. Inside, the demon laughed wildly.
"I was wondering how to block the cave. Thanks, current shrine maiden!"
Touji smirked, activating the power of his Rinnegan once more.
The entire mountain collapsed, and a mass of black mist slowly rose into the sky.
"It's him, it's him! That's the demon!" Shion exclaimed excitedly.
"I know. I'm going to finish him now!" Touji sneered and clenched his fist.
Stones from the ground gathered around the demon, trapping it in their grip.
The demon struggled, but no matter how much it fought, it couldn't escape the gravitational force.
And the demon could feel it—the chakra binding it was infused with shrine maiden power. Each time the black mist of its body touched it, smoke sizzled from its form.
"No! Please, spare me!" the demon pleaded.
This time, it was different.
In the past, shrine maidens would only seal it, and it would eventually break free.
But this shrine maiden... actually intended to kill it.
Shion stared at Touji, her mouth hanging open in disbelief.
"The demon... is begging for mercy?"

Chapter 168: Battle Against the Demon (Please subscribe!)
This time, Touji was fully confident in his Earth Explosion Star technique. There was no chance of it backfiring like before. But even so, Touji was not satisfied.
The Earth Explosion Star could only seal the demon, but it couldn’t kill him.
In a few years, this demon would return and wreak havoc upon the world again.
Touji's goal wasn’t just to seal him—it was to kill him.
In his memory, the original story defeated the demon by infusing the power of the priestess into the Rasengan, which delivered the final blow.
Now, Touji also had the priestess's power and knew how to use Rasengan. The only thing left was to figure out how to infuse the priestess's power into the Rasengan.
The Rasengan was a rare non-elemental, purely offensive jutsu. This meant that anyone with enough chakra could potentially learn it. Moreover, it was incredibly adaptable. When combined with different types of chakra, the Rasengan would take on new attributes.
Touji began channeling the priestess's power, rotating it in his hand.
In no time, a swirling ball of energy formed, gradually accelerating under his control until it took on a spherical shape.
But Touji had one issue.
The Rasengan was pink!
In his memory, Naruto's Rasengan was a beautiful, multi-colored sphere. But here, in his own hand, it looked a bit too... cute.
Shion, however, was shocked by the sight. After using the priestess's power for years, she had never imagined it could be materialized like this. She could also sense how powerful the ball in Touji's hand was.
Touji snorted.
The color of the Rasengan didn’t matter—the priority was to kill the demon.
This power alone wouldn't be enough.
Touji continued to focus, channeling all of the priestess's power into his hand. The Rasengan in his grasp grew larger and larger, eventually becoming bigger than a person.
In the dark night, the glow from Touji's Rasengan dyed the surroundings pink.
"That should be enough," Touji thought to himself with a smirk, then directed his Earth Explosion Star toward the demon.
The demon roared angrily at the sight.
“You can kill me, but not with that disgusting thing!”
The demon struggled furiously, but the powerful gravitational pull from the Earth Explosion Star held him in place. He could do nothing but watch helplessly as the pink Rasengan drew closer.
Boom!
The Rasengan collided violently with the Earth Explosion Star, sending shockwaves rippling across the earth, shaking the ground and splitting it open. Lava churned in the deep cracks that formed.
Touji panted heavily. Although he had only used the priestess's power, the exertion left him exhausted, barely able to stand.
But just then, Touji saw the demon, severely weakened, lying on the ground with a smile of glee on his face.
“So close... just a little more!” the demon muttered, desperately crawling toward the crevice.
Touji's heart sank.
The demon leapt into the lava, and the ground trembled again.
“Not good! The demon can use the earth’s energy to revive himself!” Shion cried out in despair, quickly helping Touji to his feet.
“You need to get out of here while you can! Let me seal him while he’s still weak!” she said, her face full of resignation.
After hesitating for a moment, Shion added softly, “I’m sorry... I know Lady Katsuyu wouldn’t approve of this, but please, just let me do this one selfish thing.”
With those words, Shion stepped forward.
Touji's expression turned bitter. He wanted to save Shion, but without the priestess's power, he was powerless against the demon. All he could do was watch as she faced death.
But then, Touji’s eyes widened.
He felt the priestess's power flowing into him at the point where they touched.
His heart surged with joy.
The demon was on the verge of death—just a bit more of the priestess's power and Touji could finish him off.
Without hesitation, Touji grabbed Shion by the head, preventing her from pulling away.
Shion’s eyes widened as she struggled, but soon realized what Touji was doing. She quickly channeled all of her priestess power into him.
The transfer of energy accelerated. What would have taken over half an hour was now nearly complete in just a few minutes.
Soon, Touji felt his strength restored. He gently pushed Shion aside and wiped his mouth with one hand.
“Don’t worry. I’ve got this demon covered.”
“Uh... okay! I trust you, Touji!” Shion said, blushing.
Touji almost stumbled, looking at Shion in disbelief.
“You know who I am?”
Shion giggled behind her hand.
“I found out during my morning divination.”
Touji rolled his eyes but smiled helplessly.
So that was it—she had tricked him. But no matter how he’d punish her later, the demon had to be dealt with first.
Otherwise, no place in the ninja world would be safe.
Touji stood at the edge of the crevice and peered down.
The demon, bathing in lava, was rapidly healing, his vitality restored.
“Lucky for me, I’m ready for you,” Touji said, jumping down toward the demon.
A pink Rasengan formed in his hand as he plunged downward.
The demon, enjoying the lava, suddenly sensed danger and looked up. Seeing the pink Rasengan, he shuddered in fear.
“Damn it, how did you recover so fast? And you’re stuck down here too! Why are you so determined?” the demon cursed, slowly shifting his body in an attempt to flee. But he was still too injured to move quickly, helpless as the Rasengan descended.
“No! You can’t do this!”
“Sorry, but this is your end!” Touji responded, activating the Rinnegan to adjust his position and speed up his descent.
Boom!
The Rasengan struck the demon’s head, causing an explosion of energy.
The demon, still submerged in lava, had no chance. The powerful blast sent lava flying in all directions.
Touji attempted to use his Kamui to avoid the lava, but the heatwave burned through most of his clothes, sending him flying back to the surface.
“Ding! Demon successfully slain! The host may now select one of the demon’s jutsus or items!”
*Chapter 169: Immortality (Requesting Subscriptions!)*
Touji let out a sigh of relief.
The demon was finally dead.
One of the great things about the system was its ability to instantly detect if the opponent was playing dead, preventing any deception from the enemy.
Touji immediately began selecting rewards from the demon's body.
*Immortality!*
Joy surged through Touji's heart.
However, he was fully aware that this wasn’t true immortality. Instead, it granted an incredibly fast healing ability—a strong life force.
Otherwise, the demon wouldn’t have been killed by the Spiral Sphere powered by the priestess's energy.
But with this so-called immortality, no matter how severe the injuries he suffered, as long as he had enough time to recover, he could slowly come back to life.
In other words...
With this immortality, Touji could freely use the Eight Gates Formation.
With his current strength, opening the Eight Gates would definitely allow him to reach the level of the Six Paths.
And Touji wouldn’t be limited to a one-time use; with enough time, he could recover.
"Choose Immortality!"
*Ding! Immortality acquired! The system is now modifying the host!*
For a moment, Touji felt an immense life force surging into him.
Every cell in his body was rejoicing, and his muscles began to twitch uncontrollably.
As a result, Touji temporarily lost control of his body and could only watch the scenery before him.
Just then, Shion poked her head out with a look of sheer excitement on her face.
"Touji-kun, you did it! I can’t sense the demon’s presence anymore!"
Shion's face flushed right after she spoke, and a mischievous grin appeared at the corner of her mouth.
"Touji-kun, are you unable to move right now?"
Touji's heart skipped a beat.
He had calculated everything—except Shion!
Now his body was undergoing a transformation, leaving him completely at her mercy.
And Shion’s expression was definitely not that of someone who’d sit quietly and behave.
"Touji-kun, how pitiful! Your clothes are all burnt. Let me help you change!" Shion said, her smile growing even bigger.
Touji closed his eyes, bracing himself for whatever was coming.
But just then, the ground shook again. Touji opened his eyes to see thick smoke filling the sky, mixed with a strong scent of sulfur.
"Not good, the volcano is about to erupt!"
Touji hadn’t expected it.
The Spiral Sphere just now must have triggered the magma underground, which was now about to erupt.
Shion also stopped what she was doing.
Although she could be a bit difficult to figure out at times, she was clear-headed when it came to major issues. After all, she was willing to sacrifice herself for the world.
Without hesitation, Shion hoisted Touji onto her back and sprinted down the mountain.
The ground shook continuously as Shion ran, and Touji could see molten rocks flying past him.
Even lava splashed onto his body.
Yet, instead of feeling pain, Touji felt his recovery speed increase.
His heart filled with joy.
It turned out that after acquiring the demon's immortality, lava actually aided his recovery.
In fact, it wasn’t just lava—any high temperature could speed up his healing.
After about half an hour, Shion finally reached a safe distance.
By then, the shrine had been completely submerged in lava. The entire mountain was ablaze, lighting up half the sky.
At this moment, Shion relaxed completely.
The demon was dead, and she no longer had to sacrifice herself for this foreign world.
The shrine had burned down, but without the demon, it no longer needed to exist.
Shion could now live like a normal woman.
She could explore this world.
And find her other half.
And she was deeply thankful that she had already found someone she could spend her life with.
With a sigh, Shion plopped down onto the ground.
The moment she sat down, she felt a strange sensation in her legs.
Shion had always lived comfortably in the shrine, practicing her priestess powers. Running for half an hour down a mountain while carrying someone was something she had never experienced before.
If not for the lava chasing after her, Shion probably wouldn’t have been able to run that long.
But now that she had stopped, her legs were trembling uncontrollably.
She even had several blisters on her feet.
Touji furrowed his brows.
He had originally planned to return to Konoha after completing the mission to face the Akatsuki's attack.
But now, with Shion’s home gone and her legs in bad shape, he couldn’t just leave her in the Land of Demons.
Touji shook his head in resignation.
"You carried me earlier, so I’ll carry you now. Would you like to come with me to the Land of Fire?"
Shion’s eyes lit up instantly upon hearing Touji's words.
"Yes, yes! I want to see what the place where you grew up looks like, Touji-kun!"
Touji smiled wryly in his heart.
The place where he grew up... Shion might never be able to see it.
But as the number of his system check-ins increased, Touji had discovered that the pinnacle of ninjutsu was all about rules.
Perhaps, when his space-time ninjutsu reached its peak, he could create a passage to Earth.
Even though Earth didn’t offer him the status or power he had here...
It was still his home.
Touji carried Shion all the way to the outskirts of Konoha Village.
Now that Shion no longer had a death god chasing her, her hands and feet had become much more well-behaved.
At least she wasn’t being too bold, though Touji still had to be cautious at night.
However, what would have normally taken Touji just one day to travel to Konoha took a bit longer with Shion, almost a day and a half.
As they arrived at the village gates, Touji barely had time to feel happy before the clouds in the distance suddenly crackled with thunder.
A giant Kirin made of lightning leapt from the clouds, flashing its fangs and claws as it dove straight toward the ground.
*Boom!*
The ground shook violently, nearly causing Touji, who was carrying Shion, to fall.
Seconds later, a powerful shockwave rushed toward them, forcing Touji to take a step back.
His heart skipped a beat.
The Akatsuki had already reached Konoha, and that attack just now—it was Sasuke Uchiha's most powerful Kirin!
And Sasuke's Kirin was even stronger than Touji had anticipated. Just seeing it filled him with dread.
If anyone took that attack head-on, survival seemed impossible!
Anger surged through Touji as killing intent filled his eyes.
"Sasuke Uchiha! You better not hurt anyone. If you do, not even Itachi can stop me from killing you!"

*Chapter 170: The Reincarnation is Born (Please Subscribe!)*
Touji ran quickly, and when he reached the center of the battlefield, his heart sank.
There were five or six ninja lying on the ground, but fortunately, none of them were familiar to Touji.
Touji didn’t possess the noble spirit of the Hokage, who would be furious as long as someone from the village was harmed.
Touji was a selfish person.
If something didn’t concern him, what difference did it make if others died?
However, when Touji turned his head, he saw that Kakashi Hatake was covered in wounds, his eyes showing a look of terror.
Meanwhile...
Jiraiya was engaged in a fierce battle with Pain.
Although there were many people from the Leaf Village, they couldn’t intervene.
Any ninja who tried to rush in had collapsed to the ground, their life or death unknown.
Jiraiya’s face had also grown serious.
Facing all six of Pain’s bodies at once, he was completely overwhelmed.
Touji snorted coldly and charged forward.
He left Kakashi Hatake to continue fighting Uchiha Sasuke. After all, Kakashi was known as the "50-50 master," so he shouldn’t have a problem for the time being.
In the original storyline, Jiraiya died at the hands of Pain.
Touji rushed toward Pain at full speed, the lightning in his hand crackling as he launched an attack at Tendo Pain.
“Touji, is it? Unfortunately, we are destined to be enemies. Get lost!”
Pain snorted coldly and unleashed a powerful repulsive force that stopped Touji in his tracks.
Touji frowned and reached out to grab Pain.
Before Pain could react, he suddenly felt an astonishing pull, rapidly dragging him toward Touji.
“How is this possible? That’s Universal Pull!” Pain looked at Touji in disbelief.
Universal Pull was a unique jutsu of the Rinnegan, yet Touji had just used it. Pain couldn’t hide his shock.
“Touji, who are you? Why do you have the Rinnegan?”
Since his secret was out, Touji calmly removed the contact lenses covering his eyes.
He revealed a pair of Rinnegan.
But unlike Pain’s Rinnegan, Touji’s had three tomoe in each pupil.
“Rinnegan! Touji actually has the Rinnegan!” Kakashi Hatake stared at Touji in disbelief.
Kakashi had personally brought Touji into the Leaf Village.
Yet, he hadn’t discovered Touji’s secret all this time.
Fortunately, Touji wasn’t inherently evil and bore no ill will toward the Leaf Village—he just had a bit of a wandering heart.
“Rinnegan! We have hope now!”
“Touji-kun is so cool…”
“It seems marrying Hinata to him was the right decision. Our Hyuga clan might have children with the Rinnegan, and we’ll reach the pinnacle of the ninja world!”
Pain furrowed his brow.
Touji didn’t just possess the Rinnegan; his had three tomoe as well.
Fighting Touji alone would be challenging, so he needed backup.
“Konan, help me!”
At Pain’s call for help, Konan immediately flew over without hesitation.
In an instant, paper fluttered through the air.
Touji smiled slightly, his body turning into paper as well, blending into Konan’s paper storm.
“Damn, I forgot he knows this jutsu too!” Konan frowned and quickly recalled her paper.
But Touji’s paper had already attached itself to hers.
However, instead of making Konan bloated, the paper wrapped around her body.
“Sister Konan, why are you doing this?”
Konan froze for a moment, quickly turning her head to look.
Suddenly, her expression became dazed, and her flapping wings stopped, causing her to plummet to the ground.
“Konan!” Pain roared and recklessly rushed toward her.
Touji sneered and used Almighty Push to blast Pain away.
Just as Pain was about to catch Konan, the powerful repulsive force sent him flying, crashing hard into the ground.
“Does it hurt? Are you in despair? The one you care about most is about to die in front of you. Do you regret attacking the Leaf Village now?” Touji cradled Konan in his arms and looked at Pain calmly.
“Let go of Konan, or I’ll slaughter everyone in the Leaf Village!” Pain roared in fury.
Touji smirked indifferently.
“You’re already killing Leaf ninjas. If you can kill them, why can’t I kill Konan? Just because she knows you?”
Touji sneered and grabbed Konan by the ankle, letting her body dangle.
If he let go, Konan would fall headfirst and die.
“What do you want!” Pain glared at Touji, unwilling to accept this outcome.
Among the three people he was closest to, one had already died in a conspiracy. Pain wouldn’t allow Konan to die in front of him.
“What I want is simple: hand over the Tailed Beasts and leave the Leaf Village!”
Pain stared at Touji furiously, hesitating.
At that moment, Kakuzu walked out with a swagger, holding a woman in each hand.
These two women were Touji’s fiancées, the Hyuga sisters.
“From my investigation, these two girls seem to be quite close to you. How about I kill one of them?” Kakuzu said, glancing between the two.
His gaze landed on Hinata Hyuga.
“Let’s start with you!”
Kakuzu said, plunging a knife into Hinata’s heart.
Hinata twitched a few times, then fell silent.
“There’s still one left. Do you want to save her?” Kakuzu asked, raising his hand with a smug smile.
But before he could revel in his success, he realized his arm had been severed, and Hanabi Hyuga was whisked away by a shadow. Even the supposedly dead Hinata had vanished.
At the same time, Konan regained her freedom, hovering in the sky with her wings.
“You hold off the enemies. Today, I’m saving Hinata no matter what!”
Touji rushed into the nearest building with Hinata in his arms, ripping open her clothing to reveal her wound.
He used Healing Palm Jutsu, his hands glowing as he desperately tried to heal her.
“Brother Touji, give up! My sister has stopped breathing. There’s no hope!” Hanabi wiped her tears, trying to stay strong.
Touji knew that Hinata was already dead.
Normal methods couldn’t save her, but with the Rinnegan, he could use the Samsara of Heavenly Life to revive her.
