Djinn Webtoon Pilot

A few years ago, I visited a country called Tunisia on a work trip. I fell in love with it and made dear friends there.

One of them was an artist called Zou (who did some of my Vainqueur covers) and we considered starting a webcomic together; a story called Djinn, inspired by Arabic culture. That was long before Covid was a thing, and due to both of our responsibilities, we couldn't find time to work on it.

Until now.

I've been seeking to diversify a bit from novels and after many years, and here's one of the projects I've been developing in the background: Djinn. I'll start releasing episodes on Patreon early for your eyes only.

The following episode is the story's pilot, so all feedback are appreciated :) please tell me what you thought in the comments below!

Hope you enjoyed that pilot! Please what you thought of it in the comments below!

Great start for a great concept! The last "djinn"-type story I read was Bartimaeus, I think. Love to see you on this creative ride buddy!

Cool!

kkkkkkkkk

typo: uncount -> uncouth. Nice start. I realize these are formatted for mobile and all the comics do it, and it'd be too much work to do a full size page layout version. But I'm still gonna say how much I dislike and how limiting the 1column format is .

I love it! I really want to read this.

Interesting start, you certainly have my interest. Also, i really dig the art style, it’s pretty neat and i like the unique setting!

Seems good

Thank you very much ;) I always try new things with each story so I hope this one will stick the landing too.

Thanks!

It seams like an interesting start.

I've always admired uniqueness in stories. I struggle to come up with much that isn't derivative. Whenever I read a new story with a special something that sets it apart as "unique" i'm often struck dumb with the "that's such a good yet simple idea!" once again, I've become a green eyed monster of envy. Looking forward to how things shape up. :)
