Patreon Update: Story Poll, NDT, Fan Arts
Added 2021-06-28 13:05:31 +0000 UTCHi guys, something of a large update about the Patreon's future after the Perfect Run's incoming conclusion, news on Never Die Twice, and a collected fan art collection.
1) Plan for the next story after the Perfect Run
At the time of writing, I am 90 percent sure that the Perfect Run will conclude in late August (around chapter 125-130). To avoid a situation like Vainqueur's conclusion where there was a month-long gap between my stories, I've decided to publish a Patreon Poll for the next story around late July. As such I will start publishing the new story as soon as the Perfect Run ends. That way Dracolich and Dragon patrons will still get access to advance chapters ahead of everyone.
The choice will be between a cultivation tale (tentative name Sword & Shield) and a dark fantasy novel (working name Underland); you'll get more info with the poll. I've commissioned artists to provide arts for both stories, so that you have a visual idea of what they'll be about. Here are some teasers.

2) Never Die Twice Audiobook available for preorder + novel on Tapas
After a long wait, Never Die Twice is finally getting its own audiobook by Jack Voraces and Podium Audiobooks! The story is available for preorder here: https://www.audible.com/pd/Never-Die-Twice-Audiobook/1039404502
The story is also now available on Tapas in novel form: https://tapas.io/series/never-die-twice as an alternative to Royal Road. The better it does here, the greater the chances of it getting a webcomic adaptation so spread the word ;)
3) Kairos/Perfect Run Fan Art collection
Finally, I received quite a few fan arts lately, and I thought I should share them with you.

Quicksave vs Augustus, by Emiliano Cortes (see his work here: https://www.instagram.com/emicorrtes/)

Pictures of Kairos, Cassandra, Rook, Rhadamanthe and Nessus by Gharbi Zouhayer (you can check out his work here: http://loumizou.com/)
And that's all for now. Peace.

The protagonist would be more of a magician type, so staves are more likely ;)

2021-06-29 07:43:39 +0000 UTCObviously we’ll see what the poll says but I hope for a dark fantasy. If it’s cultivation hopefully it’s different in tone, they all seem like iterations of the same novel. I have faith in Void Herald in any case but I hope he can solve some of the many problems of that genre. After 1k or so chapters of I shall seal the heavens I can’t stand the genre. The characters aren’t interesting, have no meaningful relationships or antagonists, work the advancement treadmill but just end up with different core structures and tier names, and the worlds are so big yet have no meaningful history, geography, politics, or even interesting factions. Just cults of ancestor worshippers guarding techniques that will be obsolete in 3 chapters. Not to mention the treatment of women as untouchable lilies who only serve to die or be put in a coma to motivate the MC.

2021-06-28 22:39:25 +0000 UTCKnowing the fanbase I think the cultivator novel will win. That said I'm voting dark fantasy becuase I think it would be a better fit for the author.

2021-06-28 16:58:39 +0000 UTCSomething more along the lines of Dragon Age Origins and Bloodborne. Dark Souls is downright depressing ;)
