2025-02-23 03:59:33 +0000 UTCI fucking hate the multiple RSS feeds. I use Pocketcast and it clutters up my podcast list having to subscribe to each individual show. The only show I don't listen to is Punching Up. All I need to do when this show comes up is mark it as read, archive it, and move on with my day. This may be annoying in other podcast apps, so I'm not advocating to get rid of the multiple feeds as that seems to be what most people want. But I hope they quickly resolve the issue of letting us keep the unified feed.

But I don't exactly want 6 separate icons for those shows either, so I think getting a unified feed alongside the individual feeds as you suggested would be perfect. This way I can subscribe with notifications to my main shows, and check into the unified feed for the shows I listen to less.

I listen to every single episode of every single show, so for that reason I did enjoy the unified feed. However, after adding all the individual feeds after ~3 minutes of work, im all set again. I guess my muscle memory needs to slightly retrained, but in the longterm and for the VAST majority according to Colin, this is a positive change. Not everything is specifically catered to every person, and this change will positively benefit most people that care about the RSS feeds topic.

2025-02-21 19:27:50 +0000 UTCThe issue with the change of how the episode roll out now is because I just didn’t know this was happening or what to do about it. I’m scrolling through latest episodes and don’t see any moon symbol for as far as I can scroll. Did my Patreon payment not go through? I go and check the app but nah I’m still subbed… Ok how do I get them to show again? I can’t even remember how I imported them originally, years back. Look into how to import the show back but keep running into walls… I then see in Apple Podcast the 3 dots when in library to add show by URL but than can’t find the url feed to import Discover I have to have Last Stand Media not just selected but like double selected on the Patreon app, than hit the 3 dots “ Add to podcast app” than I see full list of shows… So I’m like okay do I have to add them all individually…. Why? I just want them all but can’t find a way to add them all so add one by one. Listen to today episode and find out it was all done on purpose and yeah, ok once explained I get it and hey I will say it’s super nice getting the actual show icons instead of them all being the moon but man was that a long windy road of wtf is going on… We just need a PSA and a quick guide for people to get this done.

2025-02-21 18:24:21 +0000 UTCThank you for clarifying about the RSS feed. This is my first comment on this. I definitely wanted the separate feeds, but was very used to the unified feed. The unified feed was something I kept up with to swat away what I didn't listen to, listen to my stuff and save items for later. It was painful to get the unified feed nuked. I was at work and couldn't take the time to look into it. After taking a day or two I finally went through and added the new feeds (on browser as app did not work) and marked listened to old pods on apple podcasts to mark them away. I ultimately got what I wanted but it was painful in the moment as I was not ready. Obviously a switch was flipped and people would have to make changes. Many people probably fall into this. I encourage people to take the time to fix it and it will all work out. Thanks for the update ultimately.
