In the spirit of our friends over at the Friends Per Second podcast, we've split this episode between our usual news coverage and a fun interview the Dukes has the opportunity to conduct! Joining us this episode are Gabriela Leskur and Brian Stone. Gabriela is the Narrative and Experience Lead at Oxide Games and Brian serves as Product Leader and Head Of Engineering at Xbox Game Studios Publishing. Together, these two answer our burning questions about the upcoming historical turn-based strategy game. Furthermore, we dive into the thick of Starfield's Shattered Space preview which gives us nearly ten minutes of gameplay to understand just what this is. Fortunately, it appears to be a direct response to much of the criticism laid at Bethesda's feet last fall. One thing that stood out to me was the somewhat awkward transition back to the show lol. Next time consider letting the interviewed party get some final thoughts in before cutting back to the main show. Just my opinion though. Thanks for the hard work Dukes!

Being afraid of falling, but also being afraid of looking like a herb in safety gear. Seen some nasty falls on even small rails and it makes me nervous as a 30yr old with bills and limited insurance 😅 trying to get back into it and you're right it's such intimate muscle memory. I could still do kickflips exactly the same as 13 year old me. Love it

But they WILL lose money. Players on gamepass will still be able to spend money in the storefront on skins and shit, but they don't need that $70 entry fee. The whales are still gonna whale, but now your minnows have gotten smaller. We'll see if the amount they lose out on matters, but they WILL be leaving money on the table and to say otherwise is delulu
