This Week's WIP and Previews
Added 2024-07-01 13:24:26 +0000 UTCThis past week was pretty rough in terms of work, as well as my health. I've been having stomach issues lately which I'm still not quite sure about. I'm thinking gastritis? I'm cutting back on smoking, and that seems to be helping quite a bit. It definitely feels like inflammation along my rib cage and sternum. Yes, I know I should quit smoking. My plan was to quit after our next studio break in a couple weeks. I kinda figured quitting before vacation was a bad idea, but now I'm not so sure I can wait that long.
Work wise I had to re-render both projects twice each, which not only put me behind by one week, but two. On top of this, that means I didn't get to start on part 3 of the next premium project.
This really sucks considering the studio vacation is in just under two weeks. I really want to see my father, as I don't know how many years I have left with him. I think the premium releasing before August is a good goal, but I really wanted to have it out before we took vacation.
Anyways, that's enough whining on my part. Here's some WIPs.
Our first WIP is by Lazy Procrastinator. I've been sitting on this for quite some time, and I'm really glad to finally get this out there. Particles are a weak point of mine for VR, but I feel like I have them figured out and went for it.
Our other WIP is a remaster that was requested on our Discord. Bringing Jaina into 8K... let me tell you, when she scowls down into your eyes, you see every detail now.
For our releases, we have the stunning conclusion to the BG3 saga that Kaeg created:

That's it for this week. I'll have one more WIP and Preview post next week, a release, then we'll start vacation. Then back to business in two weeks.

Although you may only use 4K, this should still be better quality that the previous as the camera angle is better, the lighting is improved, and the interpolation is from better software. There should even be better detail in 4K. The overall experience should be improved upon.
