Dustin is from what I've gathered however he does not speak his beliefs almost at all. I think even when he addressed everyone after what happened to him and holly and said that Jesus was with them that he didn't want to "push his beliefs on anyone" which is probably the most tame thing someone can say. I would not say Gene is anywhere close to conservatism either. He just isn't as far left in some beliefs as others. Either way, I don't think the balance is that big of an issue because if you don't like it you don't have to listen to the political shows. @Daniel I never said all doctors are bad actors, I said they aren't all saints. However, I am of the belief that many doctors in the field of transitioning children are bad actors. It's widely understood that they do not try and fix the core problem these kids inhibit, which are psychological issues. Instead they go straight for drugs and medical procedures which have been proven to be irreversable. Look into Abigail Shrier's book, Irreversible Damage. She lays it out in an easy to read way that cleanly explains my point step by step.

Colin thinks there are a variety of viewpoints on his shows and I feel that he is greatly mistaken. The problem is that all of the outspoken members on LSM are mainstream progressives who are given a lot of airtime to expound upon their views. I'm not saying they shouldn't. The more conservative members I would venture to say are Ben and Dustin, however, they are intelligently quiet about the majority of their thoughts and beliefs because they don't want to delve deeply into the political cesspool. Colin can't fill that void because many of his views aren't compatible with many right leaning listeners. Therefore the issue is that one side is constantly bombarding their beliefs on listeners while the other side has no one to stick up for them in the digital ecosystem we call LSM. Imagine if the roles were reversed. I think people are just yearning for a sense of fairness in this tension filled election season.

Corrupted saves and game breaking progression blocks are the worst. I picked up Tales of Kenzera Zau when it came out on PSN and reached a section requiring the gathering of three items. The game refused to acknowledge I retrieved these items but also never repopulated these items. While only 5 hours in, it definitely soured the taste and I moved on to a different game rather than retrace my steps. Just a turn off.

It stems from the “all are welcome” mantra that Colin has preached and truthfully, no one has ever made such an inflammatory political statement like this in LSM’s history. Also, many didn’t like the most recent political discussion where it was Liberals 3 to 1 in the discussion. Finally, this rhetoric only comes from one’s side in any of these types of discussions. Also, Colin hasn’t listened to it, you can’t defend someone without actually knowing what they said and the context of it. It may not seem that big of a deal to you, but I don’t get how people don’t get it with the context of what Last Stand Media has been since it began. People disagree and have discussions respectfully and there is no obfuscating that Jaffe is joking with what he said, he meant every word.

At least 30 minutes of the Black Wukong show was slandering half the subscriber base. The political stuff is good content but Jaffe or Colin alone talking about them just riles the subscriber base. I was skeptical about Jaffe at first but he does offset Colin quite nicely on a lot of topics. Sorry, kind of went of on a tangent without mentioning any of your post. Just reminded me that I'm getting kind of annoyed with Sacred but Dukes, Punching and Summoning will probably keep me subscribed while they don't suffer from this encroachment.

When GDPR first came in it was an awful ballache to implement everything for it. Still is but one good thing came of it. 90% of marketing and notification emails require an unsubscribe link. So create a filter for the word "unsubscribe" ignoring case to send them to junk and it will catch most of them. You still have to look through the folder every now and then but it works quite well.

I just can't really understand the mindset of getting legitimately upset about someone saying something on a podcast that you disagree with. It's okay to disagree (and even to think someone's a dummy for saying something), but to let it actually affect how your day's going and make you Actually Angry™ like a lot of people here seem to be? That's not healthy. Setting aside the fact that it's a little bit parasocial (you don't know Jaffe and he doesn't know you, so to take the words of a stranger so personally means that you're letting something beyond your control impact your life in a way that you don't have to), it also means you should probably step away from technology for a bit and take a break to gain some perspective. Or, as you say, just don't listen if it's going to bother you that much. I like listening to Jaffe—he's frequently funny and entertaining in my opinion—but I've also accepted that he's an outspoken dude who's going to say lots of things I disagree with. I've stopped listening to shows with Jaffe on them already, so I didn't hear this "Republicans are assholes" comment. While that one comment isn't terribly egregious or worth unsubbing from LSM over; I think it's very indicative of Jaffe's overall personality, which I find very off-putting. He's not someone I would find pleasant to be around, consequently he's not someone I want to listen to talk in a podcast. Nobody is in the wrong though, Jaffe isn't wrong to talk and give his opinions, listeners aren't wrong if they like him and keep listening or don't like him and choose to not listen, or even unsub from LSM if they want. Also, I cannot believe how badly Concord is doing. Right now, for every 1 person playing Concord on Steam there are 120 playing Helldivers 2. Even if 10 people bought Concord on PS5 for every 1 person who bought it on Steam, it's completely dead. I mean the initial reveal trailer was absolutely horrible and the art style and character design is atrocious, but I can't believe a Sony game is doing these numbers. For example, for the 4 billion or so that Playstation bought Bungie for, they could have spent that same money on several cheaper acquisitions that bore more fruit and came with less headaches. However, the idea that Playstation could have used the 4 billion on developing more TLOU-level projects with their existing studios isn't strictly true, or at least not without complication. The money Playstation used to acquire Bungie came from a pool of money that Sony had earmarked for strategic acquisitions. If Playstation went to Sony and said, "hey we want to use 4 billion of the acquisition fund to make more huge games' Sony would have likely laughed them out of the room. Cause that's not what the money was allocated for.

I think Colin is missing the issue that many had with Gene and Jaffe’s Wu Kong political briefing. Everything Colin said is salient and personally, I’m not going anywhere, but this diatribe from Jaffe follows on the heels of the recent political discussion that many here took umbrage with due to a “mostly” left leaning panel. I get it, it’s a politically charged time and sensitivities are high, some necessarily, but I get why people didn’t like it. I could break it all down to explain and help it all to digest, but frankly don’t really want to because it’s unnecessary and won’t change anyone’s minds on this. Saying that, I’ve interviewed Jaffe, he’s awesome and I hope to speak to him again soon, but these types of comments only seem to come from one side these days for the most part. I don’t hear anyone here, or anywhere else in games (we’ll just keep it there) calling all democrats assholes etc. and when KF did it back in 2020 there were some pretty resounding condemnations here at Last Stand. Slightly different vibes between the 2 but the messaging was essentially the same. I’m Canadian, so not a Democrat or Republican, but I’ll say I wasn’t exactly a fan of that entire segment and I shut it off right afterwards. That’s a me issue, clearly, but just wanted to add a little colour to Wes’s comment about Jaffe’s outburst and Colin’s response. Also, as someone above stated, Jaffe wasn’t misunderstood as he doubled down on his statement in the comments of that episode. Colin should listen to the first 20 minutes of that show to understand it and then read that comment. His language and the way he talks about those he politically disagrees with does NOT make the content he is on feel welcoming. I know you didn't listen to the episode, but you probably should and listen to what he says and how he says it, and then put yourself in the shoes of someone that hasn't "known him for years" as you have.
