Because of my health issues I've been exploring other ways to get the story out there which involve less drawing, it's been fun to try out different things, but so far I think I'll be sticking to comics. I'm still hoping things get better at some point.

First of all thank you all for your kind comments on the previous post. Because of them I feel comfortable enough switching the Patreon to monthly for now, and maybe for good.
In theory I really like per page better, but the reality of my current situation makes the income too unpredictable.

If you look at my patreon earnings per page it looks pretty nice right? But if you think about it it's actually insane.
I can't update AHS a lot and I'm pretty sure the majority of readers abandon my comic because of it... but despite this, I still got a good number of patrons.
Now imagine how many patrons I'd have if I wasn't a complete wreck?

Gonna have to pare down the quality of my drawings.
At the pace I’m currently producing comics I will literally be dead before I finish AHS, not to mention other comics I want to make. (My shoulder still hurts too btw.)
That’s why I really have to find ways to draw more efficiently. I planned to hire someone to help me with inking / coloring, but the Patreon revenue would have to be more for something like that to be feasible and that is not happening with my slow update schedule.

See I told you.
I said Patreon isn't going to go through with these changes to their fees!
(However for a while there I was getting less and less certain of my prediction, because of the possible regulatory trouble the current fee model might cause Patreon. Which means there still might be changes coming in the future.)
But the good thing for me is: I don't have to switch to a monthly campaign. I'd feel dirty getting money in months I didn't make anything, even though I'm not doing well financially.
Cool idea
With the changes to their payment system patreon basically made the per-content campaign that I run untenable, this means once i start drawing again I will have to switch to a monthly model.
But here's the cool idea, how about instead of that I charge every two months or maybe every three months instead?
So you could give 2$ or 3$ or whatever you choose, and pay the new fee only once in that timespan!
Anyway, more on patreon, my injury and other stuff tomorrow-ish...

It’s been four months since I injured my shoulder and it still hasn’t recovered.
I’ve been doing physical therapy, but 200€ in and I’m not even sure if it helped at all.
Strangely there have been days where I had no problems at all, and I was optimistic that it was getting better. I drew new pages on those days, but a few days later my shoulder is acting up again.
So yeah, I won’t be updating the comic for a while and I don’t know how long it’s going to be...
