The Hellboy Reboot: My Thoughts So Far (VIDEO SCRIPT)

So the reason why I didn't necessarily make a video on the teaser trailer when it initially came out was because in general it looked “eh”
And while I do admit that this one looks a lot better, that's still kinda my opinion on the movie from what I've seen.
Not eh as in This doesn't hold my interest long enough to care, but eh as in I mean, it looks okay, but I'm not gonna break my arm to see it opening night
Also, even with 2 trailers out, I still don't know what the fuck is going on in regards to the story, and that's fine
All I know is that witch Mila Jovovich - aka Alice after the third Resident Evil movie - is trying to take over the world and Hellboy has to stop her, which in all honesty is pretty much all I need
I also see that they're using a lot more of the comic source material in this one, which would explain why Mike Mignola's Twitter account has been as active as a Rockerfeller on day 4 of his prescription of Viagra
/I mean from the looks of it, we're gonna get the full Demon apocalypse origin, and snippets of the Descendant of King Arthur arc in the same film,/ and bitch how the fuck are you gonna make that cohesive?
Wait. Wait. Does that mean Mila's playing Morgana?? What...
WHAT??
Is her husband producing this bitch or some shit? Because she doesn't deserve that role!
But as far as I'm concerned, David Harbor as Hellboy is pretty much the only thing that stands out to me with what I've seen so far
I mean, if you can't get Ron Perlman to reprise the role, the next best choice is David Harbor
So while I'm gonna see it, and while this trailer gives me more to talk about and look forward to, and while I'm definitely interested in seeing what an R rated Hellboy movie can do, it's not really that high on myovie list this year?
And Guillermo Del Toro bias aside, these past couple trailers kinda helped put me in that mindset of
“This shit looks mediocre as fuck, but I'll catch it”
