i dont think that will come into play. for everything dex did to not have his prints in that room the finale gave the feeling that nothing from that area will tie back to him bc his prints are also on the boat that would be missing when prater would be "on the run" and i doubt that comes up either. that would be a really weird and lazy (imo) oversight if they intended to make that a point in the next season and i dont believe the show will push that at all

Dexter showed that Prater and Charley’s system wasn’t perfect, the Ripper could be as good as Dexter (or better since he never got caught) so it’s at least possible that he tricked Prater too. Not to mention, we have no reason to think that Prater knew about the Gemini Killer being twins. I feel like that’s something he would show off if he knew.
