2025-11-07 17:53:52 +0000 UTCThis my first time watching it, but my theory since they are intersecting psychology and programming is that they are training the school kid to make him a "perfect" uploaded intelligence by having learned helplessness and high motivation for understanding. Theoretically, the traumatic or maladaptive thoughts of the "uploaded intelligence," would be in tact. The intersection of EI and IQ being overlooked by unethical technological practitioners as well as protection of infrastructure. It makes me think of how they needed a "2nd internet" in cyberpunk. They talked about the rapid development of a human, but then there's also the motivation/desire to continue the human race in certain counseling theories. In this case, the continuation would be the uploaded intelligence, and the dad wanting to upload their significant others and children, killing them. That would connect to the mythology they said in the 1st episode also about family killing each other because they tried to kill them, like force uploading the mom. There could also be the forced meshing of two uploaded intelligences.
