So many different possible ways they could have went with this and it's just "Gi-hun dies with his morals, which are shown only to VIPs who don't care and a Frontman who is only gonna just deliver his belongings out of respect." Dozens of other potential and better endings, and they went with this one. Welp, see ya for American Squid Game, hopefully no dubbing involved.
