Watanabe has shown he can give a show with no substance and a lot of visceral action, such as Bebop, or a show with a lot substance that sidelines the action, such as Terror in Resonance. He tried to have a show with substance and a lot of visceral action here, and I think he failed both tbh. The story if shown in a different way to highlight the existentialism would be great, and the action is only done to attract people honestly while not adding anything needed for a competent show. I really wish he sidelined the action from the beginning and went a different route this showπ
