No he was absolutely making light of Louis pain. He needed to be reminded that Louis still has his humanity. For him to be such a good journalist he doesn’t need to behave the way that he is to get a more objective truth. He was purposely being a dick unnecessarily

It’s literally his job to pick apart information that he’s been given to determine what is and what’s might be fiction. Yes Danny is being snarky, I think that’s partly just who he naturally is as a person and also he has had history with Louis that didn’t end well. At least that is what we know at this point in the story. 🥰
