Even if they were to produce a cure, I feel like it would’ve absolutely created a HUGE conflict. The game tells us time and time again that the real enemies are always the people, not the infected. That type of world changing and CONTROLLING power would’ve definitely been fought over and may have hastened the actual extinction of humans or at least all functioning communities.

I wish he mentioned that the Fireflies wouldn't let him say goodbye before the procedure, but this was good enough.

2025-05-20 01:30:53 +0000 UTCIt’s very clear that Joel saw Ellie as more of a daughter than she saw him as a father. Like I get Joel already lost a kid so he attached to her very easily but Ellie never had a dad in the first place so she was already used to not having one. It would’ve been way different if he met her when she was like 5 but to her it’s like “This man I met a year ago stole my purpose from me.” I don’t think she understands how he grew so attached to her that fast.

2025-05-20 01:10:10 +0000 UTCthis episode was so good because this is the first time where I see Joel and I'm like dam bro that was a bad decision. don't promise something you not gonna keep. I agree with him killing the dude only because you truly don't know....what if he turned they were riding back? but the lying wasn't it man. he was totally at fault for Ellie being mad at him. this was my 2nd favorite episode. I still feel like the first episode was the best
