If a show's first season is only 8 eps long at half an hour each, they really should not be dedicating a whole episode to back story... this ruined the pacing while giving insight but, legitimately could've been explained about as emotional in 2 2min flashbacks as well. Also Lady is a badly written character tbh in this show so far

2025-04-30 22:45:53 +0000 UTCMy take on Roshi and Sheera's discussion on how human "good" demons look, I do think it's in-universe. All humans are descended from humans who crossed over into the demon realm and adapted to it. My theory is that the good, more human-like demons are just those least adapted to the environment, so they form the weak and downtrodden masses. It's not that they're good because they look nice, it's that they don't have the ability to be top dog evil demons and hence are just trying to get by.
