The thing is tho they are not all bullshit. If they were to work together to run the company with those like Frank and Gerri they would literally be legit. We’ve seen both Gerri and frank both feel like Roman and Kendall could do it if. And we’ve seen both of them have moments of competence decision making. Shiv also had some moments I will say. So what Roman at the end says is just him being his continuous self doubting self. And also a bit of spite of not wanting his brother to be CEO over him cause that would mean he “won” and is “better”. This also applies to shiv. They both couldn’t put their pride aside to give their brother something over them and would rather sell the company than to do so.

I think it's important to note that each episode of this season is one day after the other. Yes, Shiv is hormonal, but she's also deep in the beginning of her grieving process. It's only been three or so days since Logan's death. Also, I like to think that in another life, Kendall would be on stage somewhere. He always seems to shine when he has the opportunity to have an audience and gets to kind of freestyle his speeches.
