Yeah there's a lot of problems with how modern media has popularized things about Spider-Man and Batman. In the Spider-Man movies they do it so that you can see the million dollar actors' faces, but here they could have just not. But hey, comic accurate is the last thing this show is so eh lol.

Spider-Man '98 is something that EVERYONE is praying for. They didn't do allll those cameos at the end of X-Men '97 for nothing, they knew what they were doing. The whole Beau Demayo situation definitely messed with their plans though. The 90s VA for Spider-Man, Christopher Daniel Barnes said no one's contacted him at all for anything so nothing yet. But I have to say it's even sadder when you see those 90-second masterfully animated 2D shorts on the Marvel youtube channel where they narrate classic moments from the Spider-Man comics. I get what they were going for with this CGI comic book aesthetic but unless it's super high-budget CGI like Arcane or the Spider-verse films, 2D outdoes it every time. The web-slinging looks fantastic but the stock CGI models in the background of every scene kills me every time.

The white suit is actually from the future foundation run in the comics where spider man joined the fantastic four and he wore a white suit that looks very similar to this suit. My favorite stories in the comics is when Spiderman works with the FF they are like a second family to him at times. Some people feel like they wasted this suit on the show but idk it looks fire I just dont like red they put on it.

This show is taking place in the same exact timeline where Peter was supposed to go to Germany to team up with Iron Man to fight team cap but the universe is different where Peter never meets Iron Man but instead he meets Norman just like what happened in episode one when he was walking back into his apartment. It was the exact same scene where he was walking through the hallway that happened in the movie in civil War so this was like a cool Easter egg
