All Connors needs is a missing limb and the right profession. Plus we have SO MANY adaptations of Spiderman between comics, games, shows, movies, etc that I'm ok with them remixing stuff to keep it fresh. If it was a character that had never got any anything before or was being adapted for the very first time then I'd want them to be more true to the comics

Maybe it's because of all the power fantasy anime they've been watching, but the hero is supposed to struggle for the story to be compelling. That's how it's always been. The only time I've seen anything halfway decent was in the richest parts of mid size cities, like Sacramento. Actual good public transit was purposefully sabotaged and neutered by lobbying efforts of car companies like Ford and Chevrolet in the early 20th century. It changed the way cities were planned and modernized, to primarily serve cars. But of course, it only became apparent that was a really fucking dumb decision once the population started exploding.
