The line about him getting a free item if he could break the glass was not in the manhwa. What actually happened is Jin Woo asked about the glass, and then the clerk invited him to try punching it (he had heard that Jin Woo was a mage-type so didn't expect him to be that strong), but then when he saw how much energy he was about to put into the punch, he backed out of the demonstration. Jin Woo really didn't need to use that much power just to test out the glass though. Personally, I thought the change in the anime made the clerk look unprofessional, rather than confident about the security.

For why the ants are such a point of stress at this moment in the show (and I think they've mentioned it offhand through some characters) its because the s-rank gate that they came from wasn't closed at the time that it showed up before it broke, hence "dungeon break". The island where the gate broke was isolated so everybody involved just kinda ignored the issue not being able to resolve it, but now were about to see where these mistakes lead.

Correct, Jinwoo has never once had a real conversation with them or expressed his disinterest in joining a guild. The only ones he's told that too is jinhoo and the chairman. He does completely brush them off rudely and since this isn't a spoiler i'll tell ya'll now he will continue to be this way throughout the entirety of the show. The manhua never explains why he is like this considering he was polite before, but you can only surmise its cause the power and system has sorta corrupted his humanity which is why he can easily be extremely cold, he even in season 1 after killing humans for the first time acknowledges that he felt a piece of himself die which was his humanity. He is technically not even human anymore as monsters can see he is different from humans.

We gotta remember the Ants have been mentioned multiple times throughout in passing. The Jeju island is the worst dungeon break in their history and they even brought it up the last episode when they were scrambling to send units to Jinwoo. They also showed in early/mid szn 1 how Chae-In and her squad were sent to observe the island and we found out the evolved to having wings. There’s been 2 raids on the island after the breakout and they both failed so they switched to contain and observe but we seen what just happened at the end of this ep 👀

Jinwoo for the most part treats others with respect unless they are hostile towards him. I know why he doesn't want to talk to them at this point but he didn't have to walk by and brush them off. He could have easily just taken their contact info and told them he would be in touch once he finishes the business he has pending. The gates open up to unique dungeons in other worlds, but when Jinwoo uses a key to access the special dungeons, they seem to be a space that's parallel to the real world. All the buildings are the same, we see Jinwoo interact with human objects this episode, and it was the same with the subway dungeon last season. I think the special dungeons are like the sealed spaces in Dandadan. The world and objects are basically the same, but it's still separate and the things that happen there don't affect the real world.

Small paragraph guy here! Not spoiling but just clarifying some things anyone might have forgotten. Season 1 Episode 1 opening scene was about them fighting on Jeju Island after a Dungeon Break, and they had to abandon the island because it got overran and the S Ranks couldn’t finish them off. So there’s a whole island in the real world that’s just overran with giant ants. Then, a couple episodes later, the Red mage guys guild found an ant with wings in the sea, and didn’t go public with the fact that the ants were Evolving. Now, a couple episodes later, we see that at least one ant has the flight power to reach land from Jeju Island. So I’m sure it’ll pick up as the next Arc of next season.

Demon Slayer is basically movie quality animation and sound design season 2 onwards. The only other contender I think of immediately would be Mushoku Tensei Season 1 (both parts).
