The gate reading was because of kargalgan not jinwoo I mean he literally is a nearly s-rank boss. Also, he couldn't get involved because he's not technically supposed to be in that gate as an e-rank. He's not part of a guild and that is the guild's property. That's why he was hesitant to get involved. It said so in the subtitles but y'all were cracking jokes

Unfortunately, I don’t think what y’all said about the ranking of the dungeon is correct. Based on the manwa and novel, the initial reading was wrong and it was the fault of the Hunter’s Association (not the first time it’s happened). This was not changed due to Jinwoo being there — Kihoon and the team would’ve been cooked if Jinwoo didn’t volunteer to carry for them.

Anime doesn't explain it very well. But it's very frowned upon in this universe to "poach" another guilds monster kills at some points to the detriment of the hunters themselves. That's why he asked him for permission to kill the high orcs before aswell. just to correct some misinterpretations that i've seen a lot of other reactors have and that y'all have also had regarding this episode. 1 when Iron uses his taunt skill he did zero damage, if you look back at that scene it actually didnt work and he was annoyed lol. 2 jinwoo had zero effect on the rating of this dungeon, kargalgan(Tusk) having higher intellect masked his energy to make the gate appear on the outside to be low A instead of high A/borderline S and that flash of magic energy that reached the outside of the gate also belonged to the boss monster. 3. some of the words got switched during Kargalgan's(tusk) glitch so if you want to check out what it said in the manwha the chapters are 73+74

Problem is it was already vague to begin with since its the first mention we get. Changing the dialogue to this in the middle of a super hype action scene where no emphasis is placed on it is far more likely to get overlooked or forgotten about entirely in the heat of moment. And again it completely defeats the purpose of the glitch even happening since this version of tusk's dialogue isn't explicitly revealing anything that Jinwoo isn't supposed to know or question. Also, "they" could easily be interpreted as Jinwoo and his shadows and the simple act of defying him.

I just want to point out that Jinwoo is not affecting the dungeons magic rating. In the Manwha and light novel they explain that both times were due to the Hunter Association incorrectly measuring the magic output because they're short staffed, lazy, faulty equipment, etc. Jinwoo is affecting the bosses in the dungeon (them glitching out), but he isn't affecting magic output.

They determine the difficulty of the gate by measuring the amount of mana currently in the gate. The boss room was closed before and he was just chilling so they were only able to measure everything except that but now with everything exposed the difficulty would naturally rise.

Pretty sure it wasn’t a translation thing and they’re just trying to make it more ambiguous to have the viewer guess a little more. I was watching a different react channel and their translation was a bit different and during that scene he referred to him as “lord” in the subtitles. Also the “they wouldn’t dare” isn’t something I think anime only’s would chalk up to a throwaway line. The presence of a “they” itself signifies theres one or more people in back pulling the strings. It’s not as impactful as the original line but it gets the viewers attention.

When Kargalgan (Tusk) glitched out it was supposed to be the first mention we get of the Monarchs/Lords. Instead we just get some line about "they wouldn't dare" which to anime only people is just gonna come across as random throw away dialogue. It wasn’t Jin-woos aura they sensed it was the boss. The boss is a powerful magic caster and was able to manipulate the magic leaking out making it seem like the Gate was weaker. However, now that the boss revealed its full strength, the Gate’s real difficulty was revealed to those outside. Jin-woo’s presence doesn’t affect the gates whatsoever either. Red gates aren’t cause of him either. They were happing long before he got his power. They’re just unlucky pretty much.
