So Shishou is part of the Shi family. If Shisui is a noble, then it’s possible that she is related to him.

2025-02-10 08:36:45 +0000 UTCI'm really glad they did that small recap of all the events from S1 and 2. The buildup is insane and you can tell something CRAZY is going to happen. There's a few things I'm keeping in mind. I never went back to refresh myself on the whole Ah-Dou arc but I think that baby-swap situation is going to come back for sure when Jinshi's backstory get's revealed. They were really hinting at him being Ah-Dou's secret child who survived, but I still think he's the Emperor's younger brother. The way he was dressed during his assassination attempt last season was also the exact same as the silhouette of the Emperor's brother in this episode. It would make sense why he isn't castrated too. Regarding the bug girl Shisui, there's been way too much emphasis on her. I think she may be an op or maybe she's related to concubine Loulan (Their hair and features share some resemblance but that could be nothing). They also mentioned Loulan's father's name is Shishou and the girl's name is Shisui which is quite similar. I hope we get to see Lakhan again this season.

It's made by Mappa too so I thought it would be a cool sort of outlet for the staff to express their experiences and hardships, but why they continue doing what they do. The isekai aspect turned it into a completely different type of show, which is fine but eh.

There's actually a cool channel on youtube called Primer that simulates evolution over generations and how it could naturally select for different traits, and their most recent video shows that being super long lived or even immortal might be a BAD strategy long term depending on what the goal is (large stable population, your genes make up a larger percentage of the population, etc.)
